AN: I had a bit of inspo, so this happened. Not sure if it's already been done, but eh who cares. Enjoy my little drabble of Hanna's thoughts and feelings now that Caleb's too busy for her in stupid Ravenswood. Oh and, please don't talk to me about that show or the mockery they're turning Caleb into unless you'd like to bash it with me. K? K, thanks.
Telling Caleb he should stay in Ravenswood had never been part of the plan, never even a valid thought. Her boyfriend was basically the only good thing she had going, other than her mother and the girls of course but those were different. Why on earth would she tell him to stay behind? To help some girl neither of them really knew. That happened to have a lot more in common with him than she did… Maybe that's why her split decision was bothering her? That or the fact that she hadn't heard from in in days - a week even, and that definitely wasn't for a lack of trying on her end. He just never answered, no matter what time she called. It always went to voice mail, and now she'd gotten to the point where she hung up before saying anything since it never did any good to say anything anyways.
"What was I thinking?" Hanna muttered to herself, a heavy sigh escaping her as she plopped down on her bed. One little glance at her phone and she knew nothing had changed. Caleb hadn't called, the girls hadn't gotten any farther with the Ali hunt, nothing. Her life was basically at a stand still, waiting for something to happen. All while to world carried on around her. Which wasn't fun at all, considering today was Halloween. The fun of it wasn't there anymore. She'd been spooked and terrified enough for a life time. Dressing up in some costume wasn't any fun anymore, especially if she couldn't do a couple costume like she and Caleb had planned for a year now. Flipping over on her stomach, Hanna tucked her hair behind her ear as she picked up her phone and scrolled through her address book. Once located, she clicked on the call button and waited for it to ring through to voice mail - which she knew it would go, as always.
After listening to the voice saying to leave a message, Hanna worked up the will to say his name. "Caleb," She began, her voice shaky. "I miss you, so much." She said, pressing her lips into a tight line as she clicked to end the phone. Somehow, without her knowledge, a tear had escaped and fallen down her face - just as the call ended the tear raced down and splashed onto her phones screen as it went black.
