A.N. - Hello All Fanfiction readers. I am CSIFANATIC25 A.K.A. Melissa. I am finally writing my own story for Fanfiction. I have never written anything for this site since I got my account about a year to a year and a half ago. I beta a Harry Potter story called Lips of an Angel, but I have never written anything. I don't know why. (shrugs) Anyway, I'm not going to bore you with random ramblings, But I would like to give a big shout out to a very special someone. Her name is Lauren and she is my editor and cowriter on this story. She has helped me with so many things so far that we have almost the whole story planned out (and probably a sequal as well). So THANK YOU LAUREN!! On with the story.
Disclaimer: I DO NOT OWN ANYBODY BUT A FEW O.C.'S AND THE PLOT.
Chapter 1
The Las Vegas Crime Lab was bustling as usual on a comfortable evening in September. Receptionist Judy was just finishing getting ready for what she thought would be a usual night at work when she heard the lab door open and close. Judy looked up to find a girl of about 26 standing there.
She had long, brown hair that was pulled back into a ponytail. Her chocolate brown eyes sparkled with excitement, but as you looked deeper, you could see hints of confusion and nervousness. Her skin was naturally tan with no make-up visible on her face. As she walked towards the reception desk, she had a genuine smile that seemed to light up the room. Her outfit consisted of simple black jeans that hugged her toned lower half. Her shirt was a dark red polo shirt. She also carried a black briefcase that had a red dragon in the lower right corner. She had a lean, muscular figure that seemed to accent a strong personality. When she spoke, her voice had a low, distinct sound that was strong but musical at the same time.
"Excuse me, miss," she said to Judy, when she reached the desk. "If you are not too busy, could you, perhaps, help me?"
Polite too, Judy thought as he said, "Sure, what can I do for you Miss…"
"Müller," she answered, "Alexandria Müller, but please call me Alex."
"Well then, Alex, it's very nice to meet you. My name is Judy."
She extended her hand and Alex took it and gave Judy a firm handshake that was accompanied by a warm smile. When they let go, Alex asked, "I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of," she consulted a piece of paper that she pulled out of her front jeans pocket, "Dr. Gilbert Grissom's office. I have an appointment with him today at five o'clock."
Judy was surprised, since she could recall only one time that someone outside the lab had made an appointment with Dr. Grissom and that was when he was looking for a new CSI. But, she hid her emotions behind a mask as she said, "His office is down that hall, turn left at the first intersection and it is the third door on the right."
"Thank you so much, you've been a great help," she said as she picked up her briefcase and started down the hall. Judy looked at her retreating figure and thought to herself, I hope that woman knows what she is getting herself into.
A.N. Hello again. Sorry is so short, but these chapters are going to be a bit like that. Please be patient with the updates, I have a pretty hectic schedule for the rest of the summer and when school starts its going to be even crazier. Hope you enjoy!! And By the way, I'd appreciate it if you just leave me a line so I know some people like this story.
