"A whole year off! Just me and Andrew and no one else, you two still have assignments! You must be kidding me!" exclaimed Gloria looking at Tess
"It's not gonna be all fun and games though. You know you and Andrew won't have it that easy and their may be some surprises," Tess replied.
"Surprises?" Andrew looked up finally catching onto what the other angels were talking to. "How many?"
"Two, but that's just the start," Tess said.
Monica finally couldn't hold it and broke out in laughter.
"You know what it is... don't you?" Gloria asked
Monica looked at Tess and she too started to laugh. Soon enough Gloria and Andrew were concerned. Then both of them said at the same time, "What are they?"
Monica still laughing said, "Helen and Josh."
"What-" Andrew asked, "do you mean Helen and Josh."
"During the year Julie and Josh are your kids," Tess said.
"Our kids?" Gloria was puzzled. Then she laughed, "But don't you think Monica deserves this time off with Andrew. I mean she doesn't need assignment after assignment."
"No, I'll be fine," Monica laughed. She got up and said, "I'll get a to-go cup for this delicious coffee and then we could go to the New Year's Eve ball."
"Great," Andrew said.
"5-4-3-2-1! Happy New Years!" everyone in the gym shouted as it reached midnight.
"I was just starting to like 2004!" Gloria exchanged worried looks with Andrew.
Just then Gloria sat up and realized she was on a bed nest to Andrew. Realizing that it was already time for the year to begin, Gloria poked at Andrew to wake him up, "I always thought if anyone of us would be put together, it would be you and Monica. I never would've expected it to be you and me!"
"Me neither," Andrew said. There was a moment of silence and then Andrew and Gloria heard footstomps charging up the stairs.
Just then a teen boy and a preteen girl came in the room both talking at the same time. Then Andrew finally said, "One at a time! Now Helen, you go first."
"Like I was saying," the girl started. "Josh came into my room and put his turantula in my bed and made me fall out."
"That bruise was there last night," Josh had his turn to speak. "Remember you hit it on your closet and Jimmy has been in his cage all day."
"Okay," Andrew said looking satisfied.
"Andrew!" Gloria exclaimed. "You're their father and they're fighting. If you aren't gonna punish them, I will! Helen, Josh go to your rooms and don't come out until school tommorow."
"But, Mom!" the kids both shouted.
"No buts, listen to your mom," Andrew finally being a father.
Finally after hearing all the yelling, Josh and Helen finally went to their rooms.
"You talk to Josh and I'll talk to Helen," Gloria suggested and with no hesitation Andrew agreed.
"Knock, knock!" Gloria shouted as she knocked on the door of of Helen's room.
"No, you can't come in mom!" Helen shouted, but of course that didn't stop Gloria from coming in.
"I think I was being a little harsh," she started. "Just tell me what happened between you and Josh."
"I was asleep and of course I couldn't possibly think that was gonna happen because of course I was ASLEEP! But then all of a sudden I felt something bite me on the foot and I jumped out of bed and saw his spider thing on my bed." Helen calmly explained.
"Josh's turantula bit you?" Gloria was shocked.
"Yeah," Helen took off her slipper to show Gloria the horredous spider bite.
