"I hate you!" Zoë screamed as she ran to her room and shut the door. "Why cant you just except the fact that I'm a lesbian?" She yelled through the door.

"Because your not! You just think you are because Matt broke up with you." Her mother said, trying to get into her room. Her mom never understood her and she was definitely not excepting of the gay/lesbian type. It was immortal her mother always said. Who gives a damn? If having sex with the same gender is what makes you happy, then go for it.

"I broke up with him and this is the reason why!" She sobbed. Zoë never could get frustrated with out crying now a days, and she gets frustrated a lot.

"I don't care. No more sleepovers with your friends, no more hanging out at the mall and no more hanging out with Lisa!" Her mother yelled. Zoë always did what her mother told her to. When she said no hanging out with Lisa, something inside her broke. Lisa was not only her best friend, she was her girlfriend too.

"You cant stop me!" Zoë grabbed her book bag and started grabbing all the clothes she could get into the bag. She opened the window and she was gone. The sound of her mother screaming was a distant sound of buzzing in her ear. She picked up the phone and dialed Lisa's number. She got her voice mail, she hung up. She wiped a tear from her eye as she started to day dream about yesterday when everything was fine. Lisa was over and her mother was gone and they were in Zoë's room. They were laying on her bed and Lisa put her hand on her heart and sat upright.

"I, Lisa Lynn Ray, Promise to always love you, Zoë Lee Ryan." And with those words she planted a kiss right on Zoë's lips. A soft gentle kiss that Zoë knew and loved so much.

"And I, Zoë Lee Ryan, promise to always love you, Lisa Lynn Ray." And Zoë kissed her back. The tears were now pouring down Zoë's face as she started to run. She had no idea what she was running from or where she was running to, but she knew she had to run.

"I will be with Lisa." she told herself again and again as she walked up the steps to Lisa's house and knocked on the door. Lisa opened the door with a look of surprise on her face.

"What are you doing here?" She asked more worried than anything.

"I was in the neighborhood and I-I," She burst into tears right in front of Lisa. As she slunk to sit on the step she felt a reassuring hand resting on her shoulder. Faster than she knew it she was pulled in a loving hug.

"What ever it is we'll get through it together, I promise." And on the note they sat there holding each other like it was there last day together, because in reality, it could be.
