Hey, everyone! Look who's back.
I know I should be working on my other story, but I found this one-shot drabble I wrote a few years ago and since it's Christmas soon, I thought I'd share it with you guys.
This one is a Pokeshipping drabble and I'm not that familiar with writing them so please don't tear me into pieces. Oh and I know that the title sucks and I'm probably going to change it soon, but I wanted to get this up during the holiday season.
That being said, I don't own Pokémon nor it's characters and I am not, nor will I ever be, making money with this story.
Anyway, on with the story, I hope you enjoy it.
Cold Christmas Eve
''Misty stop me dragging me! I don't want to go there!'' the raven-haired boy Ash said to his best friend Misty.
''But I want to Ash! You can't just keep eating the whole time!'' she complained.
Misty and Ash had gone to the Christmas fair together and said Christmas fair happened to have an ice rink and while Misty was really keen on trying it out, her raven-haired best friend was more content trying out the food the Christmas fair had to offer. They had been going in circles, buying food at different stands for what seemed like hours. Eventually, she had just grabbed his wrist and started dragging him towards the ice rink.
While he was protesting and trying to get his wrist out of her grip, she was stronger than him, a fact he found slightly embarrassing.
''Misty, you can't force me to go there!'' he protested when they almost reached the ice rink.
''Please Ash!'' she begged him giving him her best puppy eyes. He didn't know why, but he had just never been able to tell her no when she did that.
''Fine, we're going,'' he finally gave in.
''Thanks, Ash!'' she said happily and made her way to the ice rink enthusiastically.
After paying the entrance and putting their ice skaters on, Misty practically ran onto the ice rink, while Ash just stepped slowly and carefully towards the ice rink. He wasn't used to walking with ice-skaters, he never needed to learn it. He had never gone ice-skating before and if it hadn't been for Misty, it would have stayed that way. As soon as he stepped on the ice, he felt himself losing his balance, but he managed not to fall down by holding onto the border.
"Ash! What are you waiting for? Come over!" he heard his best friend calling from across the rink. Slowly, carefully and ungracefully, he managed to make his way over to her. When he felt himself losing his balance again, he held on to the nearest thing in his reach in order not to fall, what happened to be her.
"Ash! What do you think you're doing?!" she yelled, a blush evident on her face due to the arms that were wrapped around her tightly at the moment.
"Trying not to break my bones!" he replied.
Yet, the next time he lost his balance, instead of her preventing him from falling, he pulled her with her and both of them landed on the ice.
''Misty, are you alright?'' he asked afraid that he might have hurt her.
''Yeah, are you?'' she asked and turned to face him.
''Are you sure you are alright? Your face is red!'' he stated, not comprehending the fact that the reason she was blushing were his arms that still remained around her.
''Ash I'm alright!'' she responded, her blush intensifying further.
''No you're not! Your face is red, so you have a fever! C'mon, I'll take you home,'' he declared and dragged her outside the rink, back to her house.
She couldn't help but think that although he might be the densest person on this planted, he also was the most caring and kindest guy she knew.
So, that's it. I know it's really short, but it's just a drabble after all.
For those who care, this story was originally inspired by my inability to convince my best friend to go ice-skating with me.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it. If you did a review would be appreciated. Thank you for reading!
