I know I'm supposed to be working on Deepest Desires but I had to write this short one-shot. I promise the latest chapter will be up as soon as I'm done fixing up the first three chapters, which will happen for sure before October.
I know the format is really weird and I know that it goes from Present tense to Past tense, but bear with me.
Enjoy!
OoOoO
He sees her there, sitting alone on the ground.
She can feel the emptiness of the rain pounding down on her.
He starts to walks towards her.
She hears his footsteps and turns around to look at him.
His brows furrow, as if asking her a question—a question that she knows all too well.
Her eyes evade his.
He walks towards her and sits down next to her on the cold, wet ground.
She looks at him quizzically.
He just offers her a sad smile.
She returns it and hesitantly leans her head on his shoulder.
He can feel her shivering from the rain and takes his cloak off.
She can feel the warmth of the cloak as he tenderly wraps the cloth around her.
He smirks as she pulls the cloak tighter against her shivering form.
She gives him a small smile in gratitude.
He leans down and gives her a gentle kiss in return.
She stares at him in shock.
He smirks wider and pulls her closer to him.
She feels him put his chin on the top of her head.
He suddenly has an over-whelming sense of protectiveness.
She closes her eyes and leans into his chest, appreciating the warmth radiating off of him.
He puts his arm around her shoulder, letting her know that he's here for her.
She smiles into his chest and then looks up at him.
He places another kiss on her lips.
She puts her ear to his chest and listens to his heart beat.
He murmurs something in her ear and leans his cheek on her wet hair.
She lets out a small laugh.
He says, "I love you."
She leans on his shoulder and echoes it back contentedly.

Up in the castle, a girl watched through the window, heart-broken.
He said he loved me.
The girl continued to watch as the couple kissed once more and she felt another stab of betrayal go through her heart.
She continued to stare at them as they made their way back up the castle.
She leaned her head against the cold glass of the window as a tear trickled down, leaving a trail of salt down the middle of cheek. Why her? Why? I thought you loved me.
Liar.
Heart-breaker.
Draco.
The girl reached for her wand that was sitting on the nightstand and pointed it at herself.
I can't take this. It hurts, she thought bitterly, a tear making its way down her cheek.
She closed her eyes and allowed herself one last time to smother herself in his memories. His smell on her, his hands clasped with hers, his lips on hers.
I love you, Draco.
"Obliviate."
Hermione's body went like a limp doll and she fell to the floor, all her memories of him forgotten forever.
