Just a little oneshot that popped into my head while I was rewatching Acafellas. Not set during Acafellas though, as Kurt is on the football team. Showing a little bit of Kurt's (and the other Glee kids, at least the ones who Kurt could ask for money, and you all know which ones those are) softer side.

"Mr. Schue?" he heard a familiar voice call from behind him. Turning he found Kurt jogging toward him, wearing long red McKinley shorts and a white t-shirt, holding his helmet in one hand, pieces of his hair still sticking up from when he'd been wearing it earlier. His other hand is bunched into a loose fist around something.

"Hey, Kurt," said Mr. Schuester, surprised momentarily that Kurt would ever let anyone see him dressed like that, "What's up? Did you have a question about Glee?"

Kurt stopped in front of him, peering slightly up at Mr. Schuester through the hair falling into his eyes. Taking a deep breath, he lifted up his hand and shoved something into Mr. Schue's. Looking down, he realized that it was a decent sized wad of crumpled bills.

"I, um, heard that you had to take a job as janitor a couple weeks back, because you and your wife were trying to buy a house, and having a baby and all, and you needed some more money," Kurt said, taking another breath before continuing, "And I figured that since you spend so much time doing Glee, that maybe it was hard for you to find a better job then that, so maybe we should help out.

"So I talked to a couple people, and we managed to get about $125. Oh, and this," he said, pulling a large plastic bag out of the pocket of his shorts, "There's about 20 bucks in change in there. Plus, it weighs quite a bit, so it'll be good practice for when the baby comes. Sorry the bills are kind of dirty, but we were all digging through the coach cushions and all," Kurt finished, handing the bag of change to him.

"Kurt, I-I… I don't know what to say," he said, staring at his only countertenor in astonishment, "This is, it's too much," said Mr. Schuester, trying to press the money back into Kurt's hands. The smaller boy wasn't having it though, backing away and shoving his large hand not holding his helmet into his pocket.

"Consider it our congratulations gift about the baby, Mr. Schue," said Kurt, smiling that nervous smile he had, "I'll see you at Glee tomorrow," he said, turning around and walking away back towards practice, helmet still held carelessly in his right hand. Mr. Schue watched him go, tears shining in the edges of his eyes as he looked down at the gift in his hands. He'd never been prouder of his Glee kids then he was right now.
