I Stand
By: Rebecca Belden
I stand here alone, growing more and more depressed
I stand here watching my life pass me by
people who care for me
just walking by me without even a glance
I stand here alone
I stand here in front of your face
crying because of my depression
I stand here in front of your face taking each wave of your
screaming
as if it were pleasure to me
I sit here all alone
in the corner of the room watching everyone
I sit here in the corner of my mind
wondering if all this is worth it
I lay here covering my face
in shame of all the tears I have wasted
I lay here in a shallow pool of water
crying
I now lay here and I can not move
can't breath
can't live
I lay here hoping I'll die
I now lay here in this small little coffin
I lay here because of my pain
You could have helped me while I was standing here
