Carson kept a practice in Edinburgh.
But she'd waited a long time before looking for Rodney, she'd been too scared, some of the people she remembered had never been born.
Typically, he'd been working on something classified, not the Stargate though.
She didn't know if she could have coped if Rodney hadn't existed. He did though and now she didn't know if that was better.
Because Doctor Rodney McKay existed but the man she was in love with was still very much a figment of her imagination.
