Chapter 1: Cabin Commute
"Woo! An entire weekend at your family's cabin!" Maurice shouts, already buzzed from the alcohol he's been drinking, "just me, you, and our fine women here." "For Pete's sake, man," Robert says, "enough yelling." He glances over to his girlfriend, Alice. "Don't worry,"H he reassures her, "We're not far now." Maurice leans over to his girlfriend, Rebecca, and whispers sort of loudly, "Once we get to the cabin, I am going to take you upstairs to the bedroom and I am going to fu…" "Maurice! Dude, shut up!" Robert insists, "no wants to hear that crap!" They turn onto a gravel road and head into the woods. Rebecca looks out the window and sees nothing but trees. She chuckles a little, and then says, "I'm half expecting to see a lake somewhere and someone with a hockey mask and machete standing in the distance watching us." Alice playfully slaps Rebecca's leg. "Don't say that," she exclaims. "I know it's just a movie, but still." "How the hell do you know?" Maurice hollers. "How do you know Jason isn't a real person?" "Maurice, if you don't shut up right now," Robert fumed, "I'll make you walk the rest of the way." "You won't do that!" Maurice prodded, "you won't…" Robert stops the car right there and says, "Try me." He points up the road. "I can see the clearing from here. It's not far," he explains, "So either shut up for the rest of the way or get out and walk. The choice is yours." "Fine, man," Maurice says, "For you, I will keep quiet." He then takes the last chug of his beer then tosses it out the window.
