Carson didn't know why Rodney insisted on him 'helping' as much as he did.
The last time he'd sat in the control chair he'd been so scared that he'd set off the bases defences, almost killing the General and the Major! The one time he'd found an Ancient device he actually liked he'd nearly caused a power failure, the shields to collapse and everyone to die a watery death.
Hearing Rodney's voice in his radio again Carson decided that he'd left it at home today.
Hopefully that would buy him enough time for John to get back from the mainland.
