Fairy-Tale Ending

It was another one of Tamaki's harebrained plans. Why even Kyouya went with it, they didn't know. It was the 'Grand Rescue Plan', supposedly to attract customers. And of course, Haruhi was the 'rescuee'. So that was how, on a bright Monday afternoon, instead of being home, studying, or at the supermarket, shopping, Haruhi found herself sitting in a room somewhere in Ouran High—she didn't know which one, and suspected she didn't want to know.
The room was dark, and smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. A very long while. Haruhi fought her gag reflex as her eyes adjusted to the dimly lighted room. A single light bulb hung from the ceiling, and, for some reason, the window was boarded up. What had this room been used for?
She could hear Kaoru and Hikaru, just outside the room, their loud voices, mixing with the delighted squeals of the ladies. This was the part, according to Kyouya, where Haruhi was supposed to bang on the door and scream for help. Then, Kaoru and Hikaru would turn around suddenly, surprised expressions on their faces, and attempt to open the door.
But that, however, never happened. Instead, Huni-senpai came, calling to the twins,
"Hikaru! Kaoru! Come this way, Takashi's found something!" There was just the slightest pause, before the twins played along, all loud noises and commotion. Now, Haruhi was really confused. She was about to bang on the door—it had been locked, for a more authentic experience, Kyouya-senpai had said. Her thoughts were interupted, however.
"Haru-chan!" Huni's voice called out again, from behind the door,
"We're switching hiding spots!" He unlocked the door, grabbing Haruhi's hand and half-dragging her across the building, to a mysterious and small balcony.
"Stay here!" Huni flashed a smile, before running off, crying,
"Takashi! Takashi!" Haruhi leaned against the door.
"Hmmph." She looked out at the view, Ouran High in all its glory. Idly, she wondered how long the façade was going to go on, as from below, an all too familiar voice was heard.
"Haruhi!" Tamaki's panicked voice called out,
"Where are you?"
"Tamaki-senpai?" Haruhi leaned over the railing. Tamaki's face instantly relaxed.
"I knew the twins were capable of doing such a thing, but Huni-senpai? Never!" Tamaki continued to rant, as Kyouya explained.
"We had to send the customers home. Huni-senpai threw everyone off-track. Can you get down, Haruhi?" She sighed, turning to try opening the doors. They didn't budge. Haruhi frowned, trying again.
"They're stuck!" She called out, giving them a final tug. The doors gave, the suddenness of it surprising Haruhi, and she stepped back, tripping and tumbling over the railing.
"HARUHI!" She heard Tamaki scream. Haruhi squeezed her eyes shut, preparing for impact, but was surprised to land, with a low grunt, in the arms of…
"M-Mori-senpai?"
Huni grinned from where he was standing with the twins, as Haruhi blushed her thanks, and Tamaki sputtered in indignation. Mission accomplished.
