Dark red clouds blotted out the sky, turning day into night, and black creatures began to fall from the sky like an unending torrent of rain.
Within moments, his city was ruined. As laser blasts descended from the sky, turning buildings into rubble, the army of monsters swept along the ground, decimating all who could not flee.
From his position on top of a building, the blue hawk frowned as a floating eye came up next to him. "It's over. You've lost." Doom's Eye said, and he spun around to face it, firing several shots from his gun at the creature, only to bounce off of an energy field.
The thing moved back, projecting a hologram of Black Doom, the creature who Rage the Hawk had been dumb enough to challenge. "Your bet has been lost. And by the agreement, you now belong to me."
Rage wanted to protest. How could he have known that he had that many underlings? Why would he have thought that the cities military defenses wouldn't have been enough? But no matter what the unexpected had brought, he had lost all the same.
The hawk was suddenly taken away by a black of green light, finding himself in a strange room strapped to a machine. He made no attempt to resist - having seen such utter destruction caused by the aliens, he could only hope that they killed him so that he would not have to live with the knowledge that he had brought such a thing upon his hometown.
Wanting to merely disappear forever, Rage was glad when he was rewarded by the blackness of sleep.

"Awaken, my servant." On command, the thing that had once been a hawk slowly opened its eyes. His biological clock told him he had been asleep for a while, but when searching its memories, very little could be found.
He had passed out after an attack on his city… that much was certain. Standing up and looking around, the thing that had once been Rage found itself confused by how the walls of the room seemed to be alive.
Coming face to face with a strange-looking creature, it moved into a battle-ready position, making for it's weapon… that wasn't there.
It looked back up at the thing, angry at it for stealing his gun. Throwing a punch, it's fist went straight through the creature, glass shattering everywhere. He immediately knew what had happened.
"A…mirror?" The poor hawk managed, voice harsh and dry from disuse. Looking at what remained of the mirror, he then looked back down at himself.
Black, leathery skin had replaced his feathers… though his wings still remained in a similar shape. His head, too, looked normal if not for the loathsome black skin that now covered it.
Skin that he had last seen on those creatures.
Looking back into the mirror, a single tear slid down his eye, and he looked at it carefully. It was his eye. One of them, and the surrounding area, hadn't been changed. Wiping a thick, newly muscular hand over his blue eye, Rage frowned.
They had taken everything from him. His city, his life, his body. But they would never get this. That one eye, despite small, showed that somewhere in there, Rage the Hawk still lived.
"Awaken, my servant." The voice commanded again, Doom's Eye floating into the room. "Awaken… Black Rage."
The creature that had once been a hawk turned to the hologram and smiled.
"As you wish, My Lord."
Just a little one-shot about an RP character I have, showing how he became the way he is. It captures the old him, instead of the mentally unstable being he became, but I like it anyway.
I think I'll do some about a few of my RP characters. Just because I want a place to put it down.
If you like it, you can review, or something. Since it's not made to be something that appeals to everyone, I don't really care either way, though reviews would obviously be nice to get.
If it interests you at all, the RP is by Dragon Claw. It's one of the first forums on the list, if you want to join or anything.
