The day had finally come. The day that was sure to come. On this day,
everyone will fight for their lives. They have to battle the flood coming.
"Oh no, what are we going to do" Abby asked worriedly. She was a young
girl, around 14 and she had long, black hair that reached down to her back.
She was usually very cheery, but today was an exception. There was a
worried frown on her face instead of her usual peppy smile.
The wind whooshed past her. It was unusual for hard winds like this to
come. Yoh thought for a while.
"Why don't we go to the supermarket and get preparation of food incase
anything happens" suggested Yoh. Abby smiled and nodded her head. The
dimples on her face appeared.
When they just got out of the Asakura's gate, Abby looked a little bit
pale. Yoh stopped with a slightly worried expression on his face. He turned
to her and asked, "Are you okay Abby?"
She just nodded her head, although she was still pale and shaken, and kept
on walking.
As they walked forward towards the supermarket, they saw a figure coming up
from the opposite direction. All Abby could see was dark purple pointy hair
heading towards her and Yoh.
From a distance they heard a voice saying "Oi, Yoh, Abby, what are you guys
doing out here in such bad weather?"
The trees were being blown and shaken, all the birds from the trees flew
away, and there was absolutely no one on the road except for Ren, Abby, and
Yoh. The sky turned even darker, the clouds clumped together in an area and
there it started. The rain. The first few drops of rain hit the trio on the
face. The water was cold, and although the droplets were still small, Abby
had a feeling that it wouldn't be like this for long. Without further ado,
Yoh took out an orange from his pocket and pressed on it repeatedly.
"What in the world are you doing?" Ren asked, astonished.
Suddenly there was a clicking noise. Yoh made a happy sound (it was a low
grunting noise of happiness) and then something popped up. It was an
umbrella. Abby and Ren's mouth fell open (and stayed open) until Yoh
finally said, "Isn't that cool, guys?"
Without closing their mouth, they both nodded their heads. Abby and Yoh
rapidly moved under the huge umbrella and was walking slow to not be ahead
of the umbrella.
"Lets all just go to Yoh's house until the rain stops since it's right
around the corner," said Abby. Both of them nodded and turned around,
heading towards Yoh's house.
It was foggy everywhere, and the rain was getting worse. The window shields
of the car that they past were covered with condensation. There were lots
of puddles on the ground and this was not a great thing. It got onto Abby's
nerves greatly.
"Can you guys walk faster?" Ren asked annoyingly. Yoh and Abby both
answered together "Okay" and then smiled.
Ren splashed Abby and Yoh. The splash made both of their clothes and shoes
even wetter, but the most important thing is that their head wasn't wet.
While water dripped from their clothes, Abby teeth started chattering and
her hands were vibrating. She was shivering.
Thankfully, Yoh's house could already be seen from this distance. It was
the house that had white paint all over the wall and a hole on the front
gate. That hole was made by Ren when he first met Yoh and Abby, and they
were enemies at that time. Yoh took the house key out of his pocket and
reached in towards the lock. He inserted the key, and a click sound was
heard, unlocking the door. Three of them took off their shoes in front of
the door and went inside. Yoh went to his room and brought back three
different colored towels. The purple one was for Ren, the blue one for Abby
and an orange one for himself, of course. They sat down on the sofa with
the towels draped around their shoulders, shivering without saying a word.
