A/N: Haven't at least some of us wondered about this before?
The moon and stars were shining their light onto the grass of a small forest clearing. Very little light was visible for miles, and aside from a few nocturnal digimon flying or walking by, the area was mostly peaceful and quiet. In the middle of the clearing stood an unassuming tree stump, surprisingly untouched in comparison to everything else.
A woman slowly made her way up to the tree stump, the crunching leaves beneath her shoes the only sound to break the relative silence, other than the random nature sounds. She climbed on top of the stump and looked around. Hardly any souls in sight. Perfect.
She pulled out a silver flute, her instrument of choice. Being metallic, it shimmered brightly in the moonlight. Good thing its owner wore sunglasses on a regular basis, even at night (however illogical it was). She raised the flute to her purple lips and took a deep breath.
Soon, the melodic sounds of a flute song cut through the clear forest air. Every note hung on the breeze until the next one was played, and the song itself sounded majestic, yet mysterious (similarly to what some thought of the woman playing the song). Normally, the woman played her flute to control, but not tonight; here, she was making music for the sake of making music, and she didn't stop playing until she was satisfied.
Once that moment arrived, she ended her song and turned around on the stump to leave.
She froze, and her jaw dropped.
A whole crowd of insect digimon (plus one undead one) were staring at her with wide eyes and big grins.
"We wanna hear more," a Flymon said.
But all they got was the sound of Arukenimon's hand meeting her forehead, and her groaning loudly.
A/N: Okay, just a few questions:
1. Does her flute only control insect digimon when she wants it to, or does it control them all the time?
2. Can she do this with any flute, or does she have to use that specific one?
3. Am I overthinking this?
Well anyway, I hope it made you laugh.
