He's not like Izaya. I tried my hardest to make him similar, I tried everything. He's just a prototype. He has feelings, emotions, can feel pain, he can be killed, eat, sleep, cry. He's almost completely human.

Almost...

He still has a radio-like tone to his voice. He still sounds like a machine. I can't fix that. I can't make him sound more human.

It had been over a year since Izaya was killed. Since he was hit by that damn semi-truck. Shizuo saw it happen. It tore him. He wouldn't eat, or sleep, or even talk. Then I had my little idea.

I created an android to look, think, and act like Izaya. He looked like him, and sounded like him. But his personality is different. He still has Izaya's thought process, just simplified.

When I finished him, he couldn't talk. I hadn't given him his voice. But his appearance was perfect. He was just like Izaya. Dark hair, subtle eyes, same height, it was perfect.

But there were obvious differences. He had neon pink eyes instead of maroon. He smiled more sweetly. He also seemed to be a little...happier. Izaya was good at hiding his feelings. But this one wasn't.

"Master!" he called to me. I turned and looked at him with a smile.

Psyche

That was the name I gave him. He came up to me wearing his white jacket and pants. The jacket was like Izaya's, the hood and sleeves were trimmed with very light pink fur. He had a pair of pink and white headphones dangled around his neck. The cord wound down his body to his pant's pocket.

He ran up to me and wrapped his arms around me, hugging me tightly. I almost stumbled backwards back out the front door.

"I'm so glad you're home!" he exclaimed while snuggling his head between my neck and my boobs. I couldn't help but giggle at his adorableness.

"Aww, Psyche. I didn't know you missed me that much while I was at work." He looked up at me with a warming smile. He finally let go of me so I could close the front door. Psyche sat down on the couch and continued his Gameboy game.

I was barely two steps away when there was a knock on the door.

I opened the door and was very surprised to see Shizuo outside. He looked back to normal, save the fact that he was still very pale.

"I'm glad to see you're getting some fresh air. Would you like to come in?" He nodded and walked past me.

"I felt the need to walk around. I stopped by t-" He paused. I noticed he was staring at Psyche sitting on the couch. He noticed and looked back to the blonde. He set down his Gameboy and walked over to Shizuo. He gave him a smile and hugged him. "Hello!"

Shizuo was still stuck with a look of surprise on his face. He slowly wrapped his arms around him and began to hug him back. Psyche cuddled into his chest and smiled again.

"Is it really you?" Psyche looked up at him confused. Shizuo looked at him and cupped his face in his hands. The first thing he noticed was the eye colour. He suddenly frowned but continued to hug him.

I sorta smiled. I thought it was sweet to see Shizuo finally show some affection toward another being. Even if Psyche was just an android.

He still is just a prototype.
