Arthur was sat at his table in his chambers laughing with Gwen when Merlin came bursting in 'Merlin you really should learn how to knock,'

'why? It's not as if you were doing anything,' Arthur was just about to answer back when Merlin started talking again 'I've come to ask if I can have tomorrow off. I know there is no tournament coming up and you're not going hunting, so I wondered if I could have tomorrow off to help Gaius?'

Arthur looked at Gwen who smiled at him before looking at Merlin 'fine,'

'really?' Merlin said grinning

'yes. You're lucky because Guinevere is off as well, so I get to spend the day with her enjoying myself rather than spending the day with you feeling miserable,'

'thank you Arthur, thank you Gwen,'

Gwen looked up at Merlin 'why are you thanking me? I didn't do anything,'

'didn't you?' he replied with a knowing smile.

Turning to leave, he turned back round before opening the door 'um, Gwen? Are you spending the night here?'

'MERLIN,' Arthur said angrily

'what? I just wanted to know so that I could inform the kitchen to cook you a larger breakfast so the two of you could share,' Gwen smiled at Merlin 'yes I will be, thank you Merlin,'

'you're welcome, night,' and he left, locking Arthur's chambers behind him, he set off down the corridor with a huge grin on his face.

Arthur was sat up in bed with his arm around Gwen who had her head on his chest 'I wonder why Merlin really wanted tomorrow off?'

'To help Gaius,'

'oh come on Arthur, you don't really believe that do you?'

'Why shouldn't I?'

'Because, sometimes when Merlin is up to something and he has to work, he tells Gaius he can't do chores for him because he has do chores for you and vice versa,'

'really? Thank you for that information Guinevere, I'll have to remember that. Come on, lets get some sleep,' laying down Arthur kept his hold on Gwen and kissed her on the lips 'goodnight Guinevere,' he whispered before blowing out the candle 'goodnight Arthur.'

Knowing that Arthur wouldn't want to be seen whilst spending the day with Gwen means he'll probably take her out of Camelot for the day.

Getting a change of clothes for tomorrow he told Gaius he had to spend the night in the servants quarters next to Arthurs chambers as he wanted to be up at the crack of dawn to spend the day hunting.

'Have fun,' Gaius said as he Merlin left the physicians quarters 'don't worry,' he said in a quiet voice 'I will.'

Setting off at a run it wasn't long before he reached his destination, knocking on the door four times, he waited.

Opening her door and seeing Merlin stood there made her smile 'Merlin,'

'Morgana,' he said smiling back

'did all go well?'

'Yes, Arthur thinks I'm helping Gaius all day and Gaius thinks I'm off hunting with Arthur all day and spending the night in the servants quarters next to Arthurs chambers,'

Morgana laughed and grabbed hold of his top and pulled him in to her chambers, laughing with her, he shut the door behind him and locked it.
