On with the story, this first chapters pretty short. but i promise the next ones will be longer.
"Goodbye Ricky," I said as we squeezed each other tight. "G'bye Lucas, I'll miss you," Ricky said with tears in his eyes as we walked our separate ways.
That was about 10 years ago. I've had that same dream for about a week now, and every time they end the same way; Me waking up in a cold sweat, tears running down my face, screaming his name. I don't know why, but I feel like something big is going to happen today.
"Lucas, come on, if you don't hurry you'll be late for your first day of school." My mom yelled from downstairs. I looked at my alarm clock, 7:15 am. I jumped out of bed, practically falling over my feet. Screw the shower, I have gym later today anyways. Got dressed in the usual: extra tight skinny jeans, lil' black tee, b/w chucks, and was out the door in a flash. Thank god school was so close, if you call a mile and a half "close". I need to invest in a car.
I got to school just in the nick of time, I headed to the main building and cleared my throat to get the secretary's attention. She looked at me, a rather annoyed expression on her face. "Ah, You must the new student, Lucas Devereaux." I nodded in acknowledgement. She shuffled through a pile of papers as I sat in a chair in front of her desk. She motioned me to come forward. "Ok, Here is your schedule, student handbook, room key, and hall passbook. I'll call for your roommate to come and escort you around campus." oh great, I have a roommate, how perfect.
A few moments later, a boy walks in the office, wearing a blue aeropostale shirt, blue jeans and classic chucks. Ugh, a goddamn prep, and he's my roommate. Oh god, this is hell. "Lucas, This is Mr. Manning, your new roomma-." She was cut off when he raised his hand. "Sorry, Mrs. P., he's out sick today, so I'm here to escort his new roommate around." The boy said. "Oh, Mr. Scott, very well." "Go on."
Well, as 'Mr. Scott', who I recently learned his first name was Troy, waltzed through the campus showing me around, I decided to ask a few questions. That couldn't hurt right? "So Troy, what do you do around here for fun?", I asked with a half-smile, not really caring about his answer. "Look, kid, just because you're new, it doesn't mean I have to be nice to you." Wow. Isn't he a bowl of sunshine.
