Ever since he was a little kid, Kurt knew he was different. Whenever he was upset or particularly frustrated with something, the room would go cold and every object in the room would frost over. The only person who could ever calm him down was his mother, who was the reason he was born with powers in the first place. He loved his father very much, but had always felt closer to his mother. She had been strikingly pale with small elfin features, and had room in her heart for anyone in pain. But she was gone, and now the only person with control over Kurt was himself.
Crap.
Ugh. He thought, Really? Twice in one day? At least the cold doesn't bother me.
As he raised his hand to wipe the burning slush from his eyes, he could feel the sticky chunks of melting ice slowly begin to make its way down his face and neck and into his new shirt.
Great. They used cherry. Don't get me wrong, I hate all flavors, but really? Red dye just ruins all my clothes!
You may think that the freezing temperature would bother him, but the cold was actually a comfort for him. The cold reminded him of what his powers were and what he could do with them.
"Ew." He said in disgust as he felt the syrup from the drink dry into his pores.
Well. I guess I won't be going to glee today, he thought as he pulled out his phone to text his best diva, Mercedes.
Kurt- sorry boo, but I can't make it to glee today.
Mercedes- r u okay?
Kurt- im fine mercie. Ill text you later k?
Mercedes- k Kurtie. Bye
As soon as he finished texting Mercedes, he began to walk quickly towards his locker to grab the secondary outfit that was necessary for any glee member to have.
Especially me. He thought bitterly. Sometimes he wished he could just freeze those bastards, but knew that he would probably get caught.
He knew that the other glee kids were slushied, but it seemed that he always got hit more just for being gay. Kurt Hummel wasn't ashamed though, he loved who he was and wasn't going to change that. He already knew he had an effeminate face, and dressed like a model, so it wasn't like there was any way to hide it anyway. But outside of his father and glee club, it seemed as if no one would ever accept him for who he was.
