Kingdom Hearts: City of the Firemen
Chapter One: Almost run over/ Fahrenheit 451?
(Authors note: I don't own Fahrenheit 451, or Kingdom Hearts, in which belong to their respective owners. So please tell me what you think...but, I didn't say I wouldn't add my own characters. Happy Reading!
Sora entered the new world, while walking he didn't notice a car was about to run him over, until- "SORA! WATCH OUT!" Donald shouted. Sora jumped out of the way in time as to miss collision with the vehicle, but Sora couldn't help but remember, even later, that a man shouted, "YOU ALMOST RAN OVER THAT BOY!" Sora shook his head and ran after the truck. Except he found a swarm of shadows. "Heartless?" he shouted. He didn't waste a second, he ran into battle and hacked, and slashed at the shadows. And Donald casted spells like, "Thunder, or Fire," taking out more. While Goofy did the signature move where he would cover his eyes and run directly into the enemy.
Goofy finished off the rest of the remaining heartless by throwing his shield like a boomerang. Sora stood and thought, 'I'm in a city...there's smell of cinders and burning ashes...but, where did all the Heartless come from? Unless...' "Xehanort!" Sora shouted. "We have to hurry guys!"
While running they saw a firehouse, on the inside there was a pole that pulled you up, but firemen also slid down as well. But what confused them was that instead of water hoses, they had flamethrowers, and instead of books, they had televisions. Then Goofy read the words "Fahrenheit 451? Garsh, I wonder what that could mean?" There question was answered when a kindly looking young man said, "It's the exact temperature that paper burns and...OH MY GOSH! You're that boy I almost ran over. Sorry. I- I had a lot on my mind lately." Sora shook his head and said, "No. It's fine. I'm Sora, this is Donald, and Goofy." He gestured to his two friends as he spoke.
The man smiled at the friend's and said, "Welcome to the Firehouse. Make yourselves at home. I have to talk to Captain Beatty in the meanwhile." "Firehouse?" Donald asked. "Captain Beatty?" Goofy asked. The man they saw smiled and said, "Yes. The leader of the Firemen." Sora tilted his head and asked, "If you are a Fireman...where's your hoses." The man stood looking confused and said, "We do have hoses, we use them for kerosene...and the flamethrowers to put an end to the 'terrible' item that is against the law." Sora, Donald, and Goofy were confused. Then the man said his name, "My name is Guy Montag...and do you know what's against the law?" Sora shook his head, but what Montag told them made them gasp. Then they thought, the smell of cinders, the sight of burning buildings, Fahrenheit 451, AND the exact temperature paper burns. It all started to come together. Sora, Donald and Goofy responded shouting "BOOKS ARE ILLEGAL?"
Montag nodded. "What are you going to tell you're Captain?" Sora asked. Montag answered with, "I was originally going to ask about my friend Clarisse...I haven't seen her in days. And while I'm at it...you do need a job." Sora was shocked.
About half of fifteen minutes later, Montag was smiling and said, "You boys have Jobs! Welcome to the firehouse." Sora, and Donald, and Goofy all were worried. But it wasn't about the suits, or the Heartless, or even Xehanort. What they were worrying about was the kind of job they were doing, and when, or where, they were going to do the job at.
Please comment and tell me if I should continue...Sorry if you don't like the story. People cross over Kingdom Hearts with everything...I just wanted to test this idea.
