Move.

Defend.

Strike.

Kill.

Hide.

Wait.

So she waited, silent, still.

Muscles tense and ready should there be more with in the hive, because there always where. Hiding from her and her siblings. How they hid themselves she did not know for such intellect and thought was beyond her. She let out a strangled hiss of irritation as she moved then. Her sleek black body from one tunnel to another. Her sibling followed or went their own, many crawled over her as they rushed in search for the intruders who put their precious Queen at risk. It began weeks or perhaps months before though then the enemy had been weaker. Far easier to fend off. Younger their queen had told them but now the more experienced, older, 'hunters' as she called them would come to take their mother away she said. It made the Hive angry, agitated, and fear ran amuck threw the hive mind. Pained high pitched screeching rang out in anger and distress.

A ripple moved throughout the Hive then and she knew the intruders had been found and exactly where they were. An air of excitement ran throughout the hives mind as they honed in on their targets, quicker than the enemy was ready for. They swarmed from the ceiling, the walls, everywhere. Although their numbers where greater their enemy was skilled, powerful and wielded their weapons and physical might with seasoned skills. The humanoids gave ear shattering battle cries as they ended many a foe and fell. The battle was hard and drawn out but their mortal enemies lost. Ending them before they could do much else but lift an arm to activate the strange devises that adorned there arms. She gave a screech out in victory as she rammed her spiked tail into softer flesh. The thing before her let out an angry roar as it stumbled back. Her tail slipped from its place in the Hunters midsection as it lost it footing sending it to the ground. It hit with a thud. Despite the shrill screeching of her sibling she heard the thing let out a strangled growl as she slowly crawled forward. Muscled sense beneath her steal hard carapus. Caution. The Queen bid them caution as she made her approach. The creature before made a move to touch the devise on its arm and she screeched in rage, caution forgot as she closed the small distance bringing her razor sharp clawed hand up. Raking it across the things metal plated face. Then she found her self in a frenzy. Her sibling moved in attacking the Hunter beneath in rage. Tore the beast to shreds. Moving away from the kills she felt the soothing presence of her Queen touch her tiny mind. Praising them for their victories.

Protect.

Provide.

Defend.

All for the Queen.

I don't plan to write long chapters for this. The story itself won't be very long either. lol
