She had dealt with many men
But none as tough as he
None as tough as Scrooge McDuck
King of White Agony

She drugged his coffee
to steal his gold
He wound up in the snow
She had just yet to find
How far that he would go

She had to work for thirty days
To pay her gold nugget sized debt
She didn't think she'd ever been
Drenched in so much sweat

That argonaut was handsome and
Strong enough to make her swoon
She'd never met someone like him
In all her days at the saloon

She was falling for him as days went by
Though she couldn't look him in the eye
She couldn't admit it to his face
They were both as stubborn as they came
Love was lost before it was found
Neither spoke, though their hearts did pound
Their feelings stayed inside from the start
Buried within their cold, cold hearts

That tightwad could be cold and cruel
So she kept herself at bay
Not sure if she could say how she felt
She wasn't sure if he felt the same way

She was more than just a pretty penny
She was glittering gold
She had captured many hearts
So why not the one of that sourdough?

She knew it had to be true
He'd kept a lock of her hair
Amongst his important possessions
There had to be something there!

"You sure are something Scrooge McDuck"
But what she did not know
She wrote him a letter, sent it off
It ended up in the snow

Whenever it snows
I think of our love that is lost
Though I guess it did not cost
Because I know you
You wouldn't pay a dime for true
Love don't cost a thing
But I would give everything
Just to see you again
I just want you to know
I wish our love wasn't buried in the snow

There is always hope, Scrooge
And I will always wait
For you to confess your feelings
You know, just in case

And if fifty years have come and gone
And you still haven't told the truth
I just might take a chance, come by,
And give a little something special to you

And if you say that you can't do it
That you have too much on your plate
You can't fritter away time on nonsense
Well, that's okay, Scrooge. I'll wait.

Whenever it snows
I think of our love that is lost
Though I guess it did not cost
Because I know you
You wouldn't pay a dime for true
Love don't cost a thing
But I would give everything
Just to see you again
I just want you to know
I wish our love wasn't buried in the snow

I wish things were different,
I wish we never had to part.
I wish your feelings weren't buried
in your cold, cold heart
And I just want you to know
I wish our love wasn't buried in the snow
