I dawned the armor of the Fire Nation, as one of the best I commanded a fleet of Fire Navy ships, six in total. I had orders directly from the fire lord to follow the banished prince, Zuko. His ship was not far and I planed on going on myself.
"Commander?" Asked one of the shipmates.
"Speak." I said coldly.
"The ship is within firing distance, shall we sink it?"
"No, I need to board that ship, you try to sink that ship, and I will see to it you are the one who gets sunk. Is that clear?"
"Yes, commander." And he left.
I put my helm under my arm and walked up on deck, iron clanking under my boots. Smelling the salt of the sea calmed my nerves, I know us Fire Nation people aren't supposed to get nervous and all but… Zuko's uncle is general Iro.
"Commander we are ready to board." Called someone.
"I'll be going alone, just get this ship within boarding distance." I called back.
"Yes, commander."
Here goes everything, all or nothing. We closed the distance between my ship and Zuko's, and I jumped the distance. Quickly I placed on my helm, hiding the fact I was a girl, if I was going to get in a fight I wanted no mercy from my opponent. I would keep that card up my sleeve for latter.
Three men raced up and I kept them all at bay, not a problem at all. That's when I notices the banished prince, and I falter under his gaze, I hesitate far to long. One second I'm on top of it all and the next my arms are behind my back.
"Another one from my father, doesn't he trust me in retrieving the Avatar?" Yelled Zuko.
"Well it's not that, it's just if you do find the Avatar, he doesn't want you retuning with him." My voice was calm, but cold.
"Who are you?"
"I am commander Leana, and I will follow my lord's orders."
"So you will only follow my father's orders?"
"On the contrary," I pulled myself free, "my prince." And I bowed.
"What? You are going to take orders from a banished prince?"
"Yes, you see I was there…when you were banished. I heard some things about why…well it doesn't make sense. So I took this quest, only to find you. I'm at your serves Prince Zuko."
"What can you offer me? That is if you're even worth my time."
"Prince Zuko!" His uncle snapped.
"It's alright, for your information Prince Zuko, I lead six ships."
