Author's Note- Hey. Megaman Legends 2 is pretty much my favorite PS1 game, so I decided to write this for fun. It's kinda how I think the exchange between Trigger and Sera before their first battle.

"Trigger!"
Mother Unit Sera followed the blue purifier down the halls of the Elysium. She had to stop him, stop him from making the biggest mistake he could make.
"Purification Unit Trigger! Answer me!" Turning to her, Trigger regarded her coolly.
"I have nothing to say to you, Mistress Sera. I have the Master's final orders, and I plan on following them." Spinning on his heel, Trigger continued down the hall towards his ultimate destination.
"I refuse! I refuse to believe the Master ordered you to do such a thing!" She shouted after him, and when he refused to stop, her manipulations of the corridor doors forced him to turn back to her.
"Why... Explain to me why he would ask you such a thing, Trigger."
"I...I don't know..." His gaze hit the floor and he shook his head. "The Master was so sad at the end..." Stepping forward, Sera nodded.
"Is that why...he choose to end his life on Terra? Because he was unhappy with life here?" Trigger nodded.
"Sera, listen to me." He began, "The Master trusted me with this. He WANTS the System to be destroyed, because he loves the Carbons-"
"More than us?" She interrupted, rage starting to taint her tone. "Impossible, it is impossible. He created us first...we serve him as is our purpose!" As her anger sluiced away, her tone softened in volume. "We...we need the System. He knew that, that is why it was created: To guide us, to keep us and to keep checks on the Carbons. The Reinitialization Program was created to make sure Terra doesn't get over populated, that's all." Sera suddenly realized that she sounded as if she were trying to defend the system and its programs to Trigger. This incensed her, the thought of explaining herself to a lower unit than herself.
"Trigger, I am your Mother Unit. I am forbidding you from doing as your please any longer." His eyes narrowing, Trigger took a step forward, brandishing his arm-mounted energy cannon.
"I will not be stopped. Not by even you, Mistress Sera." With a flash of light, Sera suddenly appeared in her battle form, taking aim for the Purifier.
"If you will not be reasoned with, than I shall destroy you. Prepare yourself, Trigger!"
It was a strange night, when all over the world one could see two falling stars. Streaking towards the planet, the flaming bodies impacted with the force of a earthquake.
It wouldn't until generations later that the two would be unearthed, one after another. At that moment, the battle for the lives of billions of humans would continue. The love of a gentle man against one chained by logic. Their powers will clash, and the one who emerges...
...shall take the Master's will into their own hands.
