Percy was roasting smores over a fire as several other campers did the same. It was a peaceful campfire in Camp Half-Blood, no monsters, no gods, just a few half-bloods having some fun. The silence was broken, when John, son of Morpheus, asked a question "You said you once fought a monster with some smores. How did you do it?"
Percy began, "Well, John, it was a long time ago, during the war between the gods and the Titans. Me and my friend Beckendorf were with two other campers, hunting down a bus full of harpies heading towards camp. Well, we had set up camp for a night, and made a fire, and James, one of the other campers, had decided to make smores. So we began to roast the smores, when suddenly 5 dracaenas attacked us.
Unfortunately for me, Riptide was on the other side of the fire, so I dipped my smore into the fire, and sent it hurtling into a dracaena eye, sending it into screeches of pain. By then, all of the others were ready with their weapons, and they attacked the dracaenas, while I grabbed my sword. It was a good thing I did, because 10 dracaenas and a Cyclops attacked us from behind. I got the Cyclops in the eye with another burning smore, and then charged and killed him with Riptide. I was able to hold off the dracaena until my friends came to my aide, except Beckendorf, because he was guarding our backs.
That night was the last time I lit a fire on a mission, except when the mission required blowing up stuff."
"What happened to the bus you were chasing?" John asked.
"We managed to catch up to it, and then Beckendorf wired the bus toilet so that the bus would explode when the first harpy flushed it. It was one of the most ingenious designs he ever created." Percy finished. He noticed his first smore was burning, so he replaced it with a second one and kept toasting. Other stories were told, and songs were sung around the fire, but people would remember the story about the fight with smores best.
