Shorty after Dick discovers that Bruce is Batman, he begins to lock himself in his room at night effectively avoiding the would-be boy wonder. After several weeks of this, Dick decides to talk to him.
Dick:
Do you want to go save Gotham?
Come on let's go to the cave!
I never see you anymore,
come out the door
it's like you've gone away!
We used to be best buddies
and now we're not.
I wish you would tell me why!
Do you want to go save Gotham?
It doesn't have to be Gotham...
Bruce: Go Away Dick.
Dick: Okay Bye...
The Gotham crime rate is at an all time low and Bruce has been busy at the office all week. Tim is itching for some action and decides to knock on Bruce's door.
Tim:
Do you want to go save Gotham?
Or ride the Batcar down the street?
I think some crime fighting is overdue,
I've started talking to the portraits on the walls!
("Hey there Alfred!" Tim waves at a portrait of Alfred and a young Bruce that is hung in the hall.)
It gets a little lonely,
All these empty rooms
Just watching the hours tick by...
After Superman brought home the alleged body of Bruce Wayne, Dick is holding up in his room at the mansion refusing to come out. Damian, who refused to believe Bruce is actually dead decides to confront Dick and knocks impatiently at his adopted brother's door.
Damian:
