Disclaimer: I own nothing.
It's the most cliched fanfiction topic ever...
...but it's short and sweet and I like it.
Enjoy!
"Good morning!" I said happily to my small group of friends.
Schoolwork already finished, I thought nothing could ruin the day.
That was until James Potter appeared— though it seemed like apparated— by my side.
"Evans! Strange finding you here," he greeted.
I rolled my eyes and answered sarcastically. "It is strange. Who would've thought I'd be in the Gryffindor Common Room?"
He brushed it off, simply because he was James Potter.
"So, Lily; want to go out with me?" he questioned.
He probably asked that simply because he was James Potter.
And he made me want to say yes, simply because he was James Potter.
"Of course, Potter! That's why I've said no the past thousand times!"
Sarcasm works wonders for nerves.
Of course I liked him.
But there was no way that I was ready for him to know.
I'd tell him later. He'd wait for me; I knew he would.
And as we all know, he did wait. I hope that didn't ruin it for anyone.
Thanks for reading!
