Annabeth Chase's Fear Landscape I walk into a dark, cold room. I hear a soft clicking sound. Almost like tiny legs on a tile floor. A small light in the middle of the room flicks on and I see what was making the sound. Spiders. That's what was making the sound, spiders. Thousands of them surrounding me. "HELP!" I scream to the empty room. The spiders are closing in on me and I start hyperventilating. "Oh my –"I start screaming when they reach my feet. I bend down in a fetal position and try flicking them off, but they keep coming. "No no no no! Stop!" I start crying still bent down. Then I realize they are monitoring this. I don't want to seem weak. I wipe off my tears. "Wait… these aren't real spiders… this isn't real…" I think to myself I start to calm down but I can't stop feeling all of the spiders' small, pointy legs on my back, head, and arms. Then all of the sudden nothings on me and I can't feel the legs anymore. I look up. "What?" I ask myself, "Percy?" I see him and someone else far away, so I run to them. The run is not as far as I thought it would be. The person Percy is with is Rachel. When Percy sees me him and Rachel start kissing. "PERSEUS-"I start yelling but then I remember that this is all in my head. Then I think "and besides, Percy doesn't like her." The scene changes. Now I am on the Argo II. With only Leo. "Come here Annabeth. You know you love me." Leo says approaching me puckering his lips "HA! In your dreams!" I can't believe that's in my fear landscape… I mean the thought of Leo kissing me is just… ew, "On second thought… don't dream of that" I correct myself He doesn't go away. He just keeps getting closer and I step backwards until there is no more boat to step onto. He is close enough to kiss me now. He puckers and leans in. I breathe slowly so I can calm down. Finally, FINALLY the scene changes and I'm back in Dauntless.
