A/N: some author said that writing a time travel story is a right of passage. Well I think I'll try. And I haven't abandoned 'Magical Muggle".

Prologue: Nothing Good is Free

It seemed true, when it came to Harry, that nothing good was free. He found his godfather only to lose him. He found friends, only to have too much responsibility. And now, after finally defeating Voldemort, he dies.

To defeat Voldemort, Harry had to use all his magic. For most witches and wizards using all of one's magic, creates magical depletion. After a couple of days, the magic will start to slowly return. That would have worked for Harry, except that he needed his magic to be alive. To survive living at his aunt and uncle's Harry's magic had taking the job of keeping parts of him working over from the normal biological processes. When his magic ran out, so did his life.
