ONCE AND FUTURE QUEEN
Summary: "The Princess Morgana is the Once and Future Queen who will unite the land of Albion. But she faces many threats from friend and foe alike". AU, Love Triangle (ArMor/Mergana).
Main Characters: Morgana, Arthur, Merlin, Gwen, Gaius, Uther, Morgause, Gwaine, Lancelot, Knights of the Round Table.
Main Couple: Arthur/Morgana/Merlin (Love Triangle). ARTHUR AND MORGANA ARE NOT BROTHER AND SISTER IN THIS STORY, SO NO INCEST. Slight Gwen/Lancelot.
Princess Morgana is the King's daughter and heiress to the throne. Sir Arthur is the King's ward and the first Knight of Camelot. Merlin is still Arthur's servant and Emrys.
Warnings: Magical!Gwen, Dark!Gwen(eventually).
AU but will follow Canon as faithfully as possible besides the obvious differences. Good!Morgana. Morgana switches places with Arthur in this story - in the sense that she's the Princess, heiress to the throne and he's the King's ward. While Gwen switches places with Morgana. She will still be Morgana's maid but also the King's illegitimate daughter and a sorceress.
This story was partly inspired from the video 'A Change of Destiny' by irydionlover93, partly from the video 'With Eyes Wide Shut' by Estaaaas that is a Arthur/Morgana/Merlin video, partly from a video of Morgana and Gwen switching roles in the episode 'The Dark Tower' in Merlin season5 by Golden Heart and partly from some other Dark!Gwen videos. Sorry for the list but I need to give credit when credit is due, these videos are simply amazing!
It won't actually follow any of them though, maybe I'll steal something from all of them but this story will be written with my own, original ideas.
Introduction
"No young man or woman, no matter how great they are fated to become, can know their destiny beforehand. They cannot glimpse their part in the great story that is about to unfold. Like everyone else, they must live and learn.
And so it will be for the young Warlock arriving at the gates of Camelot, the young Princess observing sadly an execution from a window and the young Knight, training in sword-fighting in the Castle grounds. Three people that will, in time, father the legend.
This is not a story about destiny, however, is a story about choices and how these choices will define who they will become.
This is not a story about an inescapable fate but about how this fate will be created by the decisions they will make.
This is the story of a Future Queen, a Servant and a Knight. How they will overcome all the obstacles they will be faced with and how, through their relationship with each other - based on trust, loyalty and love - they will build a Kingdom".
