Disclaimers: Disclaimers can go fuck itself with the homework. I don't own Macbeth, or this line from Act 1, Scene 4, lines 13-16) (This line inspired me to write this)

There's no art

To find the mind's construction in the face.

His finger lazily crawled up her cheek, occasionally brushing against her eyelids or her lips, but then moving back to walk around her face. He dragged the spandex-covered finger down her neck, smirking as his finger reached her chest, only for him to bring it back up again to her face.

She made no response.

He let out a sigh, looking over her sleeping body. He was tempted to take off his mask and kiss her… wake her up…

But he knew he couldn't do that. Not now.

"Raven, Raven, Raven… what am I going to do with you?"

She didn't answer.

He didn't expect her to.

He smirked again as his eyes roamed her figure, taking in every curve, every detail of her body.

He knew she wouldn't mind.

A sound interrupted his gazing, and his eyes glanced at the communicator that was ringing beside her.

… She didn't wake up. Odd really. But what could he do? Slowly, his hand reached out to grab the small device, opening it.

"Hey chuckles."

"X!"

His reaction was so predictable. He needed something new, something… different.

He looked back at Raven.

She's different, isn't she?

"I'm guessing you're looking for your little Raven?"

"What have you done with her?! Why didn't she answer? Where did you take her?"

Too late for that Robin…

For a minute, he didn't answer. He kept staring at her body, over and over again, taking in the red clothes she was wearing. Her cloak was red as well, and he knew he would never see her like this again.

"There's no art to find the mind's construction in the face." He whispered, both to himself and Robin.

"… What? Isn't that from—"

"Macbeth? Yes. And I do believe it applies to us Robin."

"What? What are you saying X!?"

His smirk grew wider.

"There's no way you know a person's… true intentions."

"… "

"I mean, you would never know what I could do, what I woulddo. … I wouldn't hurt Raven at all. You know that. You trusted me with her on this mission to find the bad guy, and I'm keeping her … safe. I'm not the bad guy… You know that. Right? Of course you do." He said, momentarily glancing at Robin before looking back at Raven. "She's sleeping Robin. That's all. I wouldn't do anything bad now would I?" He asked, his voice growing deeper.

Even with the mask, you knew Robin's eyes grew wider.

"What did you—"

"There's no art to find the mind's construction in the face, Robin. You're like poor little Duncan, with his weakness being his trust in everyone… and you trusted the person you're not even supposed to think about trusting: your enemy."

"X!!—"

He slammed the communicator shut, and went back to staring at the sleeping Raven.

Raven, Raven, Raven… what am I going to do with you?

… Did you guys get that? Yes? No? Ok, basically, Robin sent Raven and X on a mission to find some bad person, and so the Titans were forced to work with Red X. And Robin, even though he hates X, trusted Red X enough to think that he wouldn't harm her and that she would be able to defend herself if he did, but he still "trusted" X in a way.

… So basically, Raven's dead. If you didn't get that in the story, that would make me sad cuz I had a bunch of symbolism (at least I thought I did) so yea…

Review please.

Love,
