Maka slowly walked down the streets, the clouds settling in. She shouldn't be walking alone... He should be with her.
Death The Kid.
Maka hated winter ever since that day. The day her life changed.
*Flashback*
It was a usual winter day in Nevada, Death City. The DWMA kids rushed out of the building after hearing the final bell of the day, and the lat one they'll hear for two weeks. Two students were extremely happy though.
Maka, and Death The Kid.
Tonight was planned for them to go on a relaxing stroll through the town. A full moon, it would be cold so more snuggling, a nice dinner, just about everything a girl dreamed of.
However, they didn't know it would be their last.
"So, I'll pick you up at 8, alright Maka?" Kid asked with a small smile.
Maka smiled brightly back. "Yup!" They both said their goodbyes, and parted ways.
At 8, Kid arrived at her apartment as expected. Maka had on a red sweatshirt and blue skinny jeans. Kid wore a black button up polo and blue jeans. They looked causal, yet fancied up for a date.
"Ready Maka?" Kid asked.
Maka smiled and nodded, then took his hand. It was that one moment that she'll never forget.
After they ate their dinner at a fine restaurant, they started walking through the park. Maka got tired after eating her dinner, and asked if they could rest for a little bit. Kid just simply smiled and nodded.
Now they were on the park bench, snuggling and relaxing as they watched the full moon.
"Say Kid..." Maka started. Kid looked to her expectantly. She blushed in embarrassment, but continued.
"I was wondering if... Maybe we could... Just once..." She trailed off, not knowing how to finish her sentence.
Kid smirked, knowing exactly what she was thinking. He cupped her head in both of his hands, leaned down, and kissed her.
Maka closed her eyes and kissed back, happy with this blissful moment. And to her luck, it had snowing lightly, something you hardly see in Death City.
Until the devil had to come over and ruin the moment.
Kid had died that day.
*End Flashback*
Maka has no memories of what had happened next, but she did remember this.
Being blindfolded, and an agonized scream.
She had woken up the next morning to find police hovering over her, asking if she was ok. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted it. Something she still has nightmares of 'till this day.
Kid's body being covered in blood, and wounds deep enough to almost reveal bone. The only thing that eases the memory...
Kid's peaceful look on his face.
His eyes were closed, and he looked to be sleeping.
Maka shuddered at remembering the memory.
Ever since then, she hated winter. The happy faces of little children, the cool nights she used to love, everything.
Maka looked up dully to the sky. She blinked and flinched when something cool and wet touched her nose. "How ironic." She muttered before looking back down and continued walking.
She even hated the snow.
I know, sucky way to end this, but I'm sad guys.. I was watching Death Note, and saw my favorite character die, and I cried for at least 20 minutes. Then, I got an idea and started thinking of this sad little fic. T^T
Of course, Kid is dead, and I cried some more TT^TT
So... Hope you don't hate and wish me luck on.. *sniff* Not dying as I remember this tragic moment... *cries in corner for third time* Also review...
