Disclaimer: I do not own Pirates of the Caribbean.
This adventure all began when a pirate, recently cursed, slipped away into the sea to save his life so that he may appreciate his newfound freedom. He clung to the side of a ship until it came close enough to an island that he could swim from ship to land. He searched this island until he found someone else.
The people he ran across were pirates, but he was not accepted amongst them at first, as they did not know him. Even after his offer of immortality, they did not, his offer seemed unlikely to be fulfilled. However, he eventually convinced them to go to where he asked, because they really didn't have much else to do at the time, and they did believe there may be treasure. So they went, once they found it they wondered why the pirate who lead them just stood off to the side and smiled, but quickly dismissed it. Soon they would discover their immortality, and give him a huge reward. He would leave, having gotten what he wanted and not wanting to be present when the crew discovered the truth. This immortality was not a gift, but a curse.
The pirates began to pillage towns more viciously than ever before, since there was no longer a chance of their own death, they left few survivors. In one case they left none.
A cannon shot through the building, all but one girl were hit by the fast moving ball, but the girl did not escape, a pillar knocked to the side by the cannon was blown to the side with such force it rammed through her skull and pinned her in an upright position. Her blood ran down the pole and trickled to the ground.
The pirates came, slicing, stabbing and grabbing. By the time the sun rose the pirates left nothing but a ghost town. There a man lie, sliced from chest to belly. There a woman lie, with her arms and legs cut off. There a girl lie, pillar running through her skull, the dripping of her blood would have been drowned out by the screaming of her soul if it had not been locked within her body. Her body dead, but her soul still inside, what a cruel fate indeed. Her soul was not to move on, not yet, for too many plans for her had not been done. Her soul would flow from the body to be reborn again, horrible memories washed away to be reawakened when she could avenge her death, when she could avenge the death of her village.
The pirates' curse was not broken, not soon anyway. Thousands of years went by and they had no trouble blending in with the gradual change modern society. You see they had lost a piece of the Aztec gold, a piece that was in a place they didn't think of looking. That place was a ship at the bottom of the sea.
A girl who looked strangely like the one who's soul refused to die woke up and sat up in her bed, the sound of trucks, police sirens, and yelling in the background. She had that dream again. She had been having it over and over again ever since…ever since she arrested that man. He had been charged with several accounts of rape, murder, and robbery, and was most likely in a gang. He had been found guilty and was to be executed next week. She sighed. She couldn't wait to move in with her girlfriend, who lived in a quite river town, there was a lot less violence over there.
She looked in the mirror. She was Michelle Jones, she knew that, but she felt like she had been someone else before that…and a different person before that…and a completely different person before that. She brushed out her short hair real quick deciding to dismiss these odd thoughts for today.
