Quietly, but quickly the seventeen year old boy walked down the stone hallway, his black robes billowed behind him. I hate him! He thought, I absolutely hate Father! "Get away from the piano," he says… What's wrong with playing music? I can even write songs, but nooo, I have to follow in his footsteps.

I've heard there was secret chord

That David played and it pleased the Lord

But you don't really care for music do you?

It goes like this the fourth, the fifth

The minor fall, the major lift

The baffled King composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah

The boy turned down another hallway and head for the stairs at the end. And my mother, my loving, caring, good-natured mother… At a single word from him she'll beat me, but I don't care anymore.

Your faith was strong but you needed proof

You saw her bathing on the roof

Her beauty in the moonlight overthrew you

She tied you to a kitchen chair

She broke your throne, and she cut your hair

And from your lips she drew the hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah

His footsteps echoed as he ran down the staircase. Turning into the room at his right, he pulled out his wand and moved slowly along the wall searching. Finally, he found what he was looking for. The boy tapped the center stone with his wand and a slab moved away revealing a hidden room. Her! I'll never forgive HER! All I did was love the girl and she hooks up with Scarface! I practically tore that stupid red and gold banner off the wall!

Maybe I've been here before

I know this room; I've walked this floor

I used to live alone before I knew you

I've seen your flag on the marble arch

Love is not a victory march

It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah

He entered the room and began looking through the rope racks. Checking the strength of each one. Although, there was this one point in fifth year that we were together…sort of. We talked a lot. You changed something in me then and I thought I somehow touched you.

There was a time when you let me know

What's real and going on below

But now you never show it to me, do you?

And remember when I moved in you

The Holy Dark was moving too

And every breath we drew was hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah

The boy picked up a long, strong rope and using his wand attached it to the ceiling. Then, he moved a chair from the outer classroom underneath the rope and bent to the task of making a noose. I'll show her, I'll show them all. They will all regret the torture they put me through…Yes… They'll finally regret it. Hallelujah!

Maybe there's a God above

And all I ever learned from love

Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you

And it's not a cry you can hear at night

It's not someone who's seen the light

It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah

The next morning the Potions professor came into the cold dungeon classroom and noticed the panel to the rope storage open. He entered the room and saw a sickening sight. A pale, blonde boy in black robes hung, silently swinging from a rope on the ceiling; dead.

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah

I do not own Hogwarts or the people; you can thank J.K. Rowling for them. The song I used, "Hallelujah" is property of Rufus Wingwright (as far as I know), and it was from the movie "Shrek". Please don't sue poor little me; I don't have anything anyways.

For those of you who were wondering, the title means "Of the Dying Dragon".
