I do not own or take credit for any characters from Criminal minds or Criminal minds itself. This is my first time ever writing/post a story.

Every time she walked into the room, I had to re-frame from staring. No one but Morgan knew of my feelings. It wasn't like I freely gave him that information either, a few months back after a rather difficult case the whole team went out, after Hotch, Rossi, and Reid said their goodbyes, and a few too many beers, Morgan totally caught me checking her out, she was out on the dance floor with Garcia . She was just so gorgeous that night, not that she isn't gorgeous all the time, it must have been the alcohol, the lighting, and the music, I just couldn't tear my eyes away from her. Usually I was able to block my feelings and keep them securely locked in their compartments. JJ is my best friend, she'd never go for me, besides she a mother and she's straight.

Glancing out of my office window, noticing her empty desk made me frown, she was rarely ever late. Then again once I think about it, she has seemed to have been acting differently lately. She hasn't gone out with the team in a while. She used to come every time, we would dance and drink and most of all flirt. She is always touchy feely when she is drunk and I enjoyed every minute of it. Well now that I have thoroughly wasted 20 minutes thinking about Emily. I guess I should go inform Hotch that we have a case.

I'm fixing to present the case and Prentiss is still not here. Now I am beginning to worry. "So five victims, all from the DC area." I started, as I showed the pictures from the last crime scene. "All females between the age of 30-40, brown hair, brown eyes." Everyone at the table had the same expression in their eyes, all of them thinking the same thing as I. That could be Emily, everything fit. No one said anything as I continued to give out all the facts. "Each woman was abducted from her home, at each crime scene the un-sub wrote "She is the perfect specimen" on the wall in red paint making it look like blood."

Emily woke up on a cold and hard surface. Trying to focus her vision Emily slowly turned her head trying to figure out where she was. All she remembered was going home after work, drinking half a bottle of whiskey, and then passing out on her couch. Then waking up in this cold dark room. Now that her vision had focused a little more and the fogginess in her head was fading she noticed she was naked strapped down on what she assumed was a medical table. She was finally able to feel the various aches and pain through different parts of her body. As Emily heard the sound of a door creaking open, she jerked her head to the left, causing her head to scream out in pain.

"Ok, JJ I want you to get a hold of Prentiss, if you don't get her on the phone stop by her house on the way to the first victims house. Find out what is wrong she is never this late." Hotch ordered me as we were leaving the conference room. Morgan and I were assigned to the First and second victims house and apparently Emily's too, Hotch and Rossi were headed to the other victims residents. Reid had already started his task of the geographical profile.

The longer it took to get to Emily's the more I got this weird feeling that something was seriously wrong, she never answered my calls. She always answered my calls, always that how things worked, I called she answered. As we got to the door to Emily's penthouse, I felt my heart sink as I saw the door was cracked open. Morgan and I drew our guns as we approached the door. The first thing we notice as we entered the house was a message left on the living room wall.

She is the perfect specimen. The missing piece, the perfect piece, the last piece.
