James had wanted Lily for nearly 7 years now. All he could think about was her red red hair, her white white smile and her green green eyes. "why me?" he thought to himself.
"I'm going to do something about this. Even if we can't be lovers, at least we can be friends. Even. Sounds like Evans…" he said to himself.
It was around dinner time, so she should be in the great hall.
As soon as he walked into the hall, he saw her. She was laughing t a joke one of her friends just told her. Slowly, he dragged his feet towards her.
"James? What do you want?" she asked. James. She was using his first name. That was a good sign.

James pulled her into a hug, as the whole hall started clapping.
"Its things like this that makes me want to keep on teaching," Professor McGonagall whispered to professor Dumbledore.
