Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry: St. Patricks Day Pub Crawl - Prompts - Pairing: Scorpius/Molly, Character: Lucy, A fiddle, Song: Damien Rice - I Don't Want to Change you, Dialogue: "Do me a favour and never talk to me again. We're done."
You know that I adore you
"I adore you," Scorpius breathed.
Molly blushed. She listened to the music that played. The fiddle was beautiful to her ears. She knew it wasn't really to Scorpius' taste, but she appreciated that he put it on for her, knowing she'd like it. "I adore you as well."
Their moment was interrupted by the door opening and then closing. "I'm home," Lucy shouted.
Molly grinned while Scorpius slumped in his seat.
"Can't we get any time alone?" he muttered angrily.
Molly glared at him. "She's my sister."
"And I'm your boyfriend. I would think you would want to spend more time with me."
"I've spent the last two nights with you. In fact, I canceled plans with my sister because you wanted to go on a date. And she didn't whine half as much as you're whining right now."
Lucy walked into room. "Um, hi. I didn't realize you had company, Mol. I'll go up to my room to give you guys some privacy."
And that when Molly had an epiphany about how different the two people in her life were. Lucy did her best to be understanding and fluid. The sisters had barely spent any time together in the last month, ever since she started dating Scorpius, and Lucy didn't try to make Molly feel bad about it. And if Lucy was hurt, she hid it in order to spare Molly from being put in the middle.
But Scorpius was the exact opposite. He wanted Molly are to himself, and he did everything he could to monopolize her time and attention. He was an only child, so he didn't understand what it meant to not always get his own way. He was selfish and didn't car about Lucy hurting, or anyone Molly cared about for that matter. The only thing Scorpius seemed to care about was how the situation affected him.
No matter how she felt about him, she couldn't be with a person that was so self-centered, and she wished she had figured it out sooner.
Molly stood up. "No, Luce, don't leave."
Lucy stopped on her way out of the room. "Huh?"
"What are you doing, Molly. Let her go," Scorpius ordered.
Molly glared at him. "Scorpius, I want you to leave."
"You don't mean that," he argued.
"I actually really do mean it." He stood up. "Also, do me a favour and never talk to me again. We're done."
She didn't give him any other explanation. He was smart; he'd figure it out."
The sisters were left alone after Scorpius stomped out like a five year old.
"What just happened?" Lucy asked.
Her heart hurt, but it wasn't as bad as Molly thought it would be. "Don't worry about it. It was something that needed to happen. You want to hang out? Maybe go out and get something to eat together?"
"I already ate, but maybe we can go out for dessert?"
Molly nodded happily. She had some catching up to do with her little sister.
