A/N: This came out of the everywhere, more than a day late. It's been done, but my first tag to this episode.
He expected to feel something but it could have been any house. He gave their real names. Stepped over the threshold, watching shadows of recognition drift in his brother's eyes.
Lawrence became the smell of his dad's garage. Missouri's spoon and her compassion. Watching in disbelief as Dean touched angelica root and graveyard dirt to his tongue.
Placing the bags, goosebumps running up and down his arms—a crash and something wrapped around his throat...terror and panic and What the hell am I doing here, Jess?
Suddenly he could breathe, Dean's arms keeping him off the floor. There. Finally. Safe.
