Aang ducked in order to dodge the fireball that was coming towards his head. He had a smile on his face as he cornered Zuko with a wall of fire.
"Excellent," Zuko said with satisfaction. "I think that will be enough for today." Aang stopped firebending to bow to his master.
"Hey, Zuko," Aang said excitedly as an idea popped into his head. "Wanna go penguin sledding with me?" They were in the south pole visiting Katara and Sokka's family. Zuko had an extremely confused and weirded out expression on his face.
"What?"
"Come on, I'll show you," said Aang enthusiastically as he dragged Zuko to find some penguins. They climbed to the top of a hill and found a whole horde of penguins. Aang dashed for them, and Zuko had a look on his face that just screamed You're crazy. Aang quickly caught a penguin and handed it to Zuko. "Hold this," he ordered. Zuko awkwardly complied while Aang caught another penguin for himself. Zuko wasn't very fond of animals. Especially not cold, wet ones.
"Follow my lead!" Aang yelled, flying down the hill on the back of the penguin he caught. Zuko, who still hadn't quite shaken the habit of chasing the avatar (which explains why he is at the south pole with him), followed him down in habit, screaming for the first few seconds, then laughing with uncharacteristic joy. Zuko was actually truly enjoying himself for once.
They arrived at the bottom of the hill and smiled and laughed at each other as they let their penguins free. "That was actually really fun! Thanks, Aang. I may be the Fire Lord, but I still need a little fun once in a while," Zuko gushed.
"No problem, Zuko," Aang said as they walked back to the village. "It's the least I could do since you're teaching me firebending and all. Besides, fun is kind of my specialty." Zuko felt lucky to have such a good friend in Aang.
A/N: Thanks for reading! I know it's really short, but that just means you have no excuse! Hahaha! And it's my first fanfic. I was too lazy to make up a real plot and all my ideas are too cliché . Anyways, please review!
