She stared at him from across the room. He was so handsome in his Shittenou uniform with his long

blonde hair and his green eyes. She had noticed they were green when they had met earlier in the

throne room. Thats when Princess Ami had fallen in love immediately. Love at first sight, thats what

some people call it. Her stomach began to get this weird feeling inside as she noticed him walk towards

her a small gasp escaped her lips. She looked back down at her book and pretended to read. Surely he

didn't notice her gazing at him.

"Princess Ami, would you like to dance?" He had asked her this the last time and she had rejected him

even though she had desperately wanted to dance with him but was very shy. She had no idea what to

talk to him about. Ami knew Lord Zoicite was a ladies man on Earth. She had heard many rumors

about him and his dealings with the women there. That was very intimidating.

"Actually I'm busy reading this book you see. Its really rather-"

"I'm sure the book will still be there Princess." He gave her a charming smile and she practically

melted. He held his hand out to her and she smiled shyly taking hold of it. Lord Zoicite pulled her close

to him as they began to dance to the music.

"What book were you reading?" He asked

"Shakespeare." She replied

"Ah, he's a very good writer. You must come down to Earth and see one of his plays though. It's

spectacular."

"I have been planning to do that." She was shocked, he knew of Shakespeare. On her planet men who

were handsome weren't smart!

"We should go together then. It could be like a umm ummm..."

"A date." Ami finished while blushing

"Yeah that I mean if you want it to be a date. It doesn't have to be a date if you don't want it to be. We

could just go as friends." he rambled blushing as well.

Makoto and Minako always told Ami that she never took enough chances and that if Ami kept her nose in the books all the time. Life would pass her by and so would the love of her life would pass her by.

Maybe this was the chance Amiwas looking for.

"I would love that!" Ami smiled brightly

"Really?" he said surprised that she actually accepted this time.

"Yes." They both smiled at each other. Lord Zoicite leaned down and kissed her gently on the lips.

Love at first sight, it was risky but it was a risk Ami was willing to take.
