AN: Well this is my first CSI: Miami fic. I've only ever written CSI fictions that I like to count as true work. Also I rarely write anything but slash. This was brought about because I decided to watch clips for the episode "Nailed" so spoilers for that. I needed to get this out of my system because that is the first scene of any CSI made that has freaked me out beyond the ability to sleep. Well I'm done babbling so enjoy.
Warnings: Implied Slash and Spoilers for "Nailed"
Disclaimer: It's not now nor will it ever belong to me.

I heard the call and made the fastest u-turn the hummer could possibly handle. I'm Coming Ryan please hang in there. I arrived at the scene to see him lying on the floor face covered in blood hand clutching his eye. Please Ryan hang in there. No time to wait for an ambulance. Ryan's already trying to grasp the nail and remove it from his eye. I won't let you down Ryan, never in my life. I never drive like this, but Ryan's screams are fuelling my adrenaline. Nothing will happen to him, not on my watch. I promise you with every thing I have your going to be fine.
"I've got to pull it out!" He's screaming again, though this time it comes out strangled and hoarse.
"NO, you are not pulling it out; you pull it out you go blind. Stay with me Wolfe."
I'm watching him slump against the window, all at the same time steering and calling for a trauma team to be prepared. I can't lose you, not now, not ever.
After a life time, I'm watching them put him on a stretcher and start speaking to each other, Get this, get that, call so-and-so. I don't care I just want my Ryan safe and sound. "I'm sorry sir but you'll have to stay here." NO! They can't do this to me, not with him like that; I need to be with him. Alex is with him when they remove the nail from his eye. Better her then me; I don't know what I would have done. I can't stand seeing him in pain, although he wasn't supposed to feel anything. His yells will haunt me for the rest of my life.
He steps out of the room, eye bruised and bandaged but he looks better then he did. Never scare me like that again. He say's he'll grab a cab, not happening, I'm taking him home, but not to his place, to mine. I never apologized. It should have been me getting shot with a nail, not him, never him. I forced him out there because I needed, as he so nicely put it, Delko time. He accepts my apology, well as much as an acceptance as I'm going to get. I place my hand on his shoulder and we mover toward the door, in hopes of a brighter day. Remember: Sometimes we only get one chance. Ryan's one of the lucky ones who got a second.

AN: Thank's to those who took the time to read this all the way through, I kind of got hooked on Eric/Ryan during "Man Down." I'm not sure, but I just see a hidden chemistry, but I still miss Speed. Thank you again.
