Intro
" Boarding school!" she screamed; How could they do this to her!
"Sweetheart it's for the best. That school that you attend now has such low standards, you've said it yourself that you never learn anything there." Her mom said knowingly.
"How can it be for the best if I'm going to be miserable! No forget it! I Kagome Higurashi am not going!"
Three weeks later…
" By Honey, have a great year!" her mom yelled from the shiny new car. "Make good choices!"
Oh how Kagome longed to flip her off, do something rude, anything.
Does my mom actually expect me to enjoy this torture chamber…?
Fujiyama Boarding School. That is where she will spend the rest of her miserable high school years.
Kagome trudged to the office to find out whom she'd have to live with for the next 3 years.
"Hello your name please?" Said the overly happy office lady.
She sighed, "Kagome Higurashi…"
"Oh yes here you are! Your roommates name is Sango she's in 11th grade as well; the room number is-,"
"Yeah whatever." Kagome felt no need to be polite to that lady and just walked out of the office.
A few minutes later Kagome found herself lost. "How do you find your way around this hellish place?" She asked herself, "And what was my room number? I don't even think the office lady told me…" she sighed with frustration.
Kagome walked the narrow hallway until she reached the first room of the girls' dorms. She quietly rapped on the door.
A tall willowy girl answered the door, and a nasty expression darkened her pale face.
"What do you want?"
Kagome swallowed hard, intimidated. " Um, do you happen to know which room Sango is in?"
"Do I LOOK like I know where a Sango is?" the girl answered, clearly annoyed.
"Hey did someone say my name?" A friendly voice echoed down the hallway.
Oh thank Kami. Kagome thought. "Yes I did! Um I think you're my roommate, I'm not sure what the room number is…"
"517, this is room 417 that you had the bad luck to knock on just now. That's Kikyo you're talking to; she's cranky cause her boyfriend just dumped her."
The girl named Kikyo started raising her voice at Sango.
"Um Kikyo, you can go away now." Sango said with disdain in her voice.
"Fine!" Kikyo slammed her door.
Sango sighed, "That was satisfying. Now come on, let me show our room!"
They both hurried upstairs to room 517. When they got there, they noticed a little note taped to the door.
"What's this?" Sango muttered, "Party in gym, 9:00 PM."
"Really? Now this I can do!" Kagome's big brown eyes lit with excitement.
" It should have started by now. I take it you want to go?" Sango's eyebrow went up. She was amused with her roommate's reaction.
"Yeah! But lets get unpacked and dressed up first!"
Maybe boarding school isn't going to be so bad…Kagome thought with a grin.
