Author's Notes:
Hello! This is my first try
at a song-fic… well; it's my first try at any fan-fic! So, if you could please
R/R I would be in your utmost gratitude! The song is called "Tears in Heaven"
by Eric Clapton. If someone has already done this song, I'm sorry! I didn't see
anyone do it, so I thought I might. As for disclaimers, all characters belong
to the amazing and talented JK Rowling. If you guys like this story, then I
might write some more. Well… Enjoy! (And please forgo any grammatical errors, I
tried my hardest!)
And may all your raindrops be
lemon drops and gumdrop! -Susi

Tears in Heaven
Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven
Will it be the same
If I saw you in heaven
I must be strong, and carry on
Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven
The sun shone brightly as a
tall lanky man picked up his baby son and twirled him on his shoulders.
Sunlight danced all across their faces as the young child giggled out loud. A
red haired maiden was cheering them on from a blanket on the ground. A perfect
day for a picnic, a perfect day for everything.
Would you hold my hand
If I saw you in heaven
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven
I'll find my way, through night and day
Cause I know I just can't stay
Here in heaven
The red haired woman gently
placed the baby on the blanket and snuggled up to her husband. She started to
close her eyes, when a cool wind picked up. She looked up startled and started
to question her husband. The man pointed up at the sky, a dark rain cloud had
covered the shining sun and a piercing laugh filled the air. The baby awoke
with a start and the woman ran to protect it. Flashes of green light, like a
dazzling firework show, were filling the air … then all went black.
Time can bring you down
Time can bend your knee
Time can break your heart
Have you begging please
Begging please
A lightning bolt crashed
outside his window and Harry sat up straight in his bed. He had the same dream
again, yet this time it was even worse. He pulled on his housecoat and tip-toed
out of his room. There was a huge thunderstorm going on outside and Harry
curled up in an armchair trying to calm his raging heart. Harry looked out a
window as the rain splashed against it. He weighed his self-pity greatly on his
shoulders. Thanks to one man—no, not man…monster, he would never see his
parents. Never practice Quidditch with his dad, never give his mom a
hug, and never celebrate Christmas together….Never have a true family.
Beyond the door
There's peace I'm sure.
And I know there'll be no more...
Tears in heaven
Harry looked at the photo
album that Hagrid had given him. Smiling, waving pictures of his parents stared
back at him as silent tears fell down his cheeks. Wouldn't they be proud if
they saw him now, he was the youngest seeker in a century! But they were never
going to come watch a game.
Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven
Will it be the same
If I saw you in heaven
I must be strong, and carry on
Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven
Harry closed his eyes, trying
desperately to forget the nightmares that plagued his dreams. He didn't
know how long he sat there, wishing it all away, but when he opened his eyes
again, the rain had stopped and the sun was starting to rise. The
sunlight washed over his face and his tears were replaced with hope. He would
get Voldemort back someday; he would show him how much he had hurt him and make
him pay. The death of his parents would be avenged. He took one last look at
the picture album and placed it on a shelf. As he walked back up to his
dorm he turned and whispered "I love you".
Cause I know I don't
belong
Here in heaven
