Knowing What You Want
--------------------------
This may just be a oneshot, not sure where I want to go with it... Any ideas? Enjoy!

"Finally." Derek mumbled as his girlfriend of nearly three years entered their downtown Toronto apartment.
"I know, I thought that would never end." She agreed readily. "So have you been seeing anyone lately, when can we meet them, when are you both going to stop being such dunces!" She mocked the words that had been spoken at the dinner they had both attended.
"Why is it again that we can't just tell them?" Derek Venturi questioned, placing his hands firmly around her waist.
"Dere," Casey MacDonald groaned, all the while running her hands softly through his hair. "You say that every time we get back from seeing them and every time it's the same answer."
"Yeah, but this time I'm really starting to think that we should just tell them…"
"Yeah, well that's because sometimes you can be a little bit dense!" Casey laughed out as she smacked him on the arm.
"You mean sometimes like when you are being a little bit stubborn?" He joked.
"No, sometimes like when you hog the bathroom mirror babe. Or maybe I mean sometimes like when you make a huge mess of the…" Casey cajoled before she was cut off by the pressure of his lips on hers.
Ten minutes later little progress had been made, but the couple found themselves on their living room couch.
"So after those intermission activities that I'm sure you enjoyed just as much as me are you really telling me that you actually want to keep this charade up and not tell them? I mean, we're going to stay at their place for the long weekend, and it'll be separately if we don't tell them now."
"Well, I hate to break it to you babe but it will be separately if we tell them too."
"How can you be sure Case? Isn't it worth a chance? I almost didn't make it through dinner without feeling you up, I might die if I can't touch you for a whole weekend." Derek exaggerated. "What are they going to do? We're both adults, they don't get to make this decision. In fact, think about it. Telling them is really more of a formality, like a show of respect. And you wouldn't want to be disrespectful."
"Never." Casey laughed, placing small kisses along Derek's collarbone as she came up with a far more serious response. "I know you like to have this devil-may-care attitude but I for one care what they think and I don't think telling them is going to make them think very highly of us."
"Aw, poor little Casey, we wouldn't want anyone to 'not think very highly of us' now would we?"
"Well maybe with your ego that's fine, but I for one would like to be able to go to their house and visit without being thought of as an outsider." Casey huffed, and started to walk away in a teasing manner.
"I can think of another place where you aren't an outsider." Derek quipped as he threw her over his shoulder and headed for their master bedroom.
"Derek!" Casey attempted to complain. "Must you always be thinking about sex. I was trying to have a serious conversation with you…"
Derek pushed her back onto their bed and began to remove their clothing. "Whatever you want Case, whatever you want. And I know you want this."
Their debate was momentarily put on hold, but before they fell asleep, Derek heard Casey mumble, "You're the stubborn one."
