The Inheritance cycle belongs to Christopher Paolini, not me!

The land of the elves, Alalea, was the first known civilization in our world. In addition to the elves and the urgals, there were also a few divine beings known as the wyrds. The wyrds maintained peace throughout Alalea for millennia before being betrayed by one of their own, a wyrd known as Du Nangoroth. Du Nangoroth betrayed and murdered the rest of the wyrds, leaving Alalea at his mercy. For many years the elves and there urgals fought against Du Nangoroth when a single Elf by the name of Caela challenged Du Nangoroth to single combat and emerged victorious. However, she was haunted by Du Nangoroth's last words: "My spirit will be reborn. I will rise again!" To ensure that Du Nangoroth could not threaten the elves or Urgals again, Caela sealed Du Nangoroth's consciousness into the land of Alalea itself. As a final precaution, the Elves and Urgals fled Alalea by ship to the land of Alagaesia, the home of another divine race called the Grey Folk. The Elves established their kingdom, Ellesmera, deep within the forest of Du Weldenvarden and chose Caela to be their queen. The Urgals built their own villages across Alagaesia and faded into obscurity for a time. When the era of the Dragon Riders came, Du Nangoroth was reborn as a human named Galbatorix, who would later destroy the riders, defeat their leader, Vrael, and usurp Alagaesia. A little over a century later, Galbatorix fell at the hands of Eragon Shadeslayer, the reincarnation of Vrael, Arya Drottningu, a descendant of Caela, Murtagh, son of Morzan, who had managed to escape being a servant of the dark king, and Nasuada, Leader of a resistance known as the Varden.
