-The Bride-
If Ren had to name the highlight of his career, it wouldn't be the awards he won, or the roles he surpassed of his father. No, his greatest challenge, and most memorable accomplishment, would be this.
In front of him stood his equal, Japan's number one actress. While they knew her as the stunning kyoko, he knew her as the girl in pigtails who saved him.
And here she was, at his level, acting with him. Ren couldn't say he was surprised. He was after all, her beloved sempai.
"Tsuruga-san." He snapped out of his thoughts. "are you ready?" kyoko had a look of concern on her face, she had probably, no, definitely spotted when he lost his composure.
"I'm fine Mogami-san." He smiled one of his gentlemanly smiles, which she clearly saw through. "I'm just proud of you."
Those words echoed in her ears. With a slight blush, she bowed. "thank you, Tsuruga-san. I'm honoured."
A call to set was heard on the mic, telling all the actors to move to their locations. They stood together, in a waltz position on the made-up 'dance floor'.
"quiet on set! And… action!"
The scene played out before the director, Mr. Reid, who watched every second. He wanted it to be perfect. And who better a cast than Tsuruga Ren and Mogami kyoko?
Beside him, the co-director, also the inspiration for the film, looked at the scene proudly. It's perfect. Kuu thought. He envisioned being back at his wedding, with Julie in his arms. The scene before him looked almost identical.
"I still can't believe you did it." He began. "how on earth did you find such a suitable cast. He looks practically identical. And her, she plays your wife perfectly." He sighed. "it's almost like they're married in real life."
It'll happen one day. Kuu thought. There was no doubt. He had no doubt that his son had picked the perfect partner. That's what you need Kuon. A woman to make you happy. The two were still acting on set, unaware of Kuu's planning tactics.
Author notes:
Lol so this was gonna turn into smut, but towards the end I was just like 'nahhhhhh'. So yeah, that's why it's short. I'm having a weird problem, where I have all this fic ideas, but never write them. The reason I didn't write them often is because I'm bad at writing, and I know they'll be wasted with my bad writing skills. However, I also know that the only way to get good is to practice. So yeah, kind of a contradiction.
As for Takarada academy, its officially on its way. This time I'm actually just writing whatever comes to my mind. If the fic seems bad, I reckon it'll gradually get better. It's definitely looking to be over at least 30 chapters. At this rate, and with all my planned arcs, a lot of things will be covered. (and don't worry Ren will appear soon).
Thanks for reading!
