Ana: Okay, this is basically Jake after the whole big showdwon thing with the Huntsclan, the breaking of the Skulls, yadda-yadda-yadda. I know, I know. I make it sound like nothing, but on the real, it's kinda sad.

After working in Lao-Shi's shop for a little while, Jake decided to go home. He was really down at the moment. Then again, why wouldn't he be? What had happened to him the previous evening would make anybody sad. His father walked up to him. As always, he was in a good mood. "Hey there, Jake-a-roo. How was school today?"

"Great." Jake answered, climbing up the stairs to his room.

"Well that's just fine and dandy. You just keep on being great, mister." his father said, not cathing the despondency in his son's voice.

For once, Jake was happy that his father didn't know what was going on. He passed his mother in the upstairs hallway. She actually did catch Jake's sort of sad vibe. "Jake." she called, stopping him, "Are you okay, honey?"

"Yeah." he responded.

She knew that wasn't an honest answer, but simply smiled, knowing he wouldn't want to talk about it now. "If you want to talk later, I'll be downstairs."

"Sure, Mom."

Jake walked into his room, closing the door behind him. He flopped down on his bed. The earlier night, he made Haley promise not to tell their mom about the evening's events. Seeing Rose today was sort of a bittersweet moment for him, seeing as she was now moving to Hong Kong. He picked up the picture of the two of them from his nightstand and sighed sadly. 'Why did it have to be this way? Things are gonna be so different now.' Suddenly, Jake's cell phone started ringing mid-thought. He pulled it out of his pocket and answered it. "Hello?"

"Heeeeey, Jakey!" cried a familiar girl's voice on the other end of the line.

" 'Sup, Li-Li?" he greeted her.

"AHN-LI, DAMMIT!!" she shouted, "My name's Ahn-Li! Quit callin' me Li-Li!"

"Sorry. It's just fun to mess with you." he laughed lightly, "What's up?"

"Nothin'. There ain't been an active Shen-Gong-Wu for about a week." Ahn-Li answered, "I just called 'cuz I'm bored... and 'cuz you haven't called me, your favorite cousin, in a while."

"I've just been busy." Jake told his cousin.

"...You okay, Jakey? You seem sorta down." Then she realized, "Did somethin' happen with Rosie?! Are you okay?! Is she okay?! What's goin' on that you ain't tellin' me?!"

"She's moving to Hong Kong."

"For reals? That's tite! I live in China, so I can go visit her."

"Actually, no you can't Li-Li."

"Whaddaya mean?"

Jake told Ahn-Li everything that happened the previous night, sparing no detail. Ahn-Li was shocked. "Why didncha call me?! I woulda grabbed the Golden Tiger Claws and come in a heartbeat!"

"I don't think anything coulda stopped it from happening, Li-Li. It was the only way." Jake said.

"So, Rose doesn't remember you at all?" Ahn-Li asked.

"Nuh-uh." he

"Oh, wow. That's gotta be---" she stopped talking and another voice was heard in the background, "Coming, Raimundo! Sorry, Jakey. I gotta split. But call me if you need me, a'ight?"

"Uh-huh."

"Love you."

"Love you, too. Bye."

He hung up the phone then got back to looking at the picture, a small tear running down his cheek. 'I'm gonna miss her...' Jake thought. Then he wiped the tear away and smiled, 'But I'm happy. Rose finally got the life she deserved to have. She's with her family now, and that's the way it should be. I just wish it didn't have to happen like this.'

Then Jake saw his Dream Charm on his dresser and a new door opened.

Ana: Well, that was it. Please don't totally flame. And I know most of y'all are saying "Who's Ahn-Li?" right about now. You have to have read my Xiaolin Showdown story to know about her. In any case, I hope you liked. Hasta!
