Power Rangers: New Year Countdown 2009
One Shot, written in about 20 minutes! (Started writing 10 minutes after the New Year started :D)
This is just how I see the New Year being celebrated in Angel Grove
Author Note: The One Shot is set in the "Power Rangers: Legends" Timeline, if you have not read the timeline in my story "Power Rangers: Legends" then you might not get a few things in this
Author Note 2: Although this is a one shot, all characters that are in this fan fiction are my own creation, all except one notable character at the end of the fic :D
11:50 31/12/08 Angel Grove
Late at night on New Year's Eve 2007, clear skies grace the city of Angel Grove, California, everyone from Toddlers to Teenagers to Pensioners were all gathered at the recently redeveloped abandoned warehouse district (yes the same one that Dragonzord was always terrorizing whenever he went evil!) The area had been redeveloped into a gorgeous harbour, beautifully lit to show off the brilliant blue waters of Angel Grove
"Ten minutes to New Year and the crowds here are going wild!" exclaimed the Reporter "Looks like we're gonna have a peaceful start to the New Year, with no extraterrestrial intervention!"
"That's right John. Angel Grove is now entering its 8th year of peace, following the Power Rangers defeat of the Machine Empire!" the female reporter announced
"And if you look out over the bay now, the lighting guys have put together a hologram of the Power Rangers that have protected our fair city and even the world for the past 15 years!" exclaimed John
And on the water was a projection of the Mighty Morphin Rangers, the Millennium Rangers and the Zeo Rangers

"And it's only 1 minute to the New Year now John! The Countdown clock has appeared in the sky over Angel Grove, and the seconds are ticking away!"
"That's right Diane, and you can hear the citizens chanting from our chopper above the bay!"

"Ten, Nine, Eight, Seven!" chanted everyone in the bay "Six, Five, Four Three!"
"Ready for the New Year Angel Grove?" John asked the crowed below
"ONE!" The crowd shouted
12:00 01/01/09
"Happy New Year" everyone shouted
"Looks like another peaceful year ahead for Angel Grove!" exclaimed Diane
"I'll Drink to that!" exclaimed John
Just outside the bay
"Little do these people realise, 2009 is when everything changes!" exclaimed a man in a Black Ranger suit
"David, we must return to our own time" replied a man, also in a Black Ranger suit
"I know Tommy, I just wanted to see this year begin, I missed it the first time when I went on my travels!" exclaimed David

A Blue electricity surrounded the 2 rangers and they disappeared
