Oh, why hello there :3

I decided to write this little fic based off of a dream I had involving Raxicoricofallipatorious and a stuffed giraffe who would make a very good doctor. Twenty three hours later, it's a reality! Isn't that just dandy?

Sadly, I do not own Raxicoricofallipatorious, the Doctor, or any of the other characters/ ideas. If I did, Rose would at least be mentioned ever once in a while, and Donna would be back at the Doctor's side being the bad ass that she was.

On with the show! Enjoy!

"Doctor?" Amy Pond emerged from one of the TARDIS corridors. She entered the console room, where the Doctor was working.

"Yes, Amy?" the Doctor asked, with slight concern. It was late, and the Ponds had gone to bed a long time ago. He looked up and saw Amy standing at the end of the corridor, with a pinker-than-normal face and puffy eyes. The Doctor dropped his sonic screwdriver and walked over to his best friend.

"Amy, what's wrong? Have you been crying?" he asked.

"Doctor, you promised." Amy said, tearing up. The Doctor looked at her, knowing exactly what she was talking about.

"Five minutes. You promised me. You said you would be back in five minutes." Amy finally broke. She burst into tears and the Doctor pulled her into a tight hug.

"Amelia Pond, the girl who waited. I've told you, the TARDIS has a mind of her own. You were meant to wait. We were meant to meet again after twelve years, not five minutes. It's just the way things were meant to be." the Doctor had explained this to Amy countless times, but she still seemed very upset about it. Every once in a while, she would do the same thing as she was doing right then, but lately, it seemed to be happening more and more.

"But Doctor, twelve years is a long time. I know it may not seem like it for you, you being over nine hundred years old and all, but that's more than a tenth of my life time, if I'm lucky!" Amy loosened her grasp from the Doctor and looked up at him. "Twelve years of nothing from my best friend, the raggedy Doctor. Not a visit, not a call, not even a letter. Couldn't you have done something?"

The Doctor opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. He was never good with these types of situations. Instead he let out a sigh and said "Amy, I think you need some rest. Head to bed." he planted a kiss on her forehead and with a final "goodnight," he watched Amy as she walked back to her room until she disappeared at the end of the corridor.

The Doctor stood there for a while, pondering the previous events. Eventually though he realized that the Plutiod valve he was repairing earlier had caught on fire. Even as he was extinguishing the small flame, Amy's words echoed in his head.

"Not a visit, not a call, not even a letter. Couldn't you have done something?"

"That's it!" the Doctor again jumped from his workplace and frantically started pulling levers, knobs, and other various parts of the console. The TARDIS engines wooshed into life, and a huge smile grew on the Doctor's face.

"Amelia Pond, prepare for a fulfilling childhood."
