'Ichigo's thoughts'
Ichigo was not happy. He had pestered his father, sisters, and heck even Chad to get him this. And he can't open it. The stupid can opener can't open his precious canned corn.
Yes, Ichigo secretly loved canned corn, but it was the can opener. He hated it. Unlike those cool looking ones that have these handles this one only had two moving parts. Something that turned and something that bent over. Not useful for corn cans.
He looked at the can, then at the opener, then at the can again, and finally made a decision. His corn was worth the effort.
He fumbled with the opener and did something's to it on top of the—what's this?! The can opener was connected to the can and he could move the spinning part!
He turned it counterclockwise. It fell off the can. Then with more frustration he put it one the can again but he was smart enough to turn it the other way. The can top opened and the liquid the can is kept in leaked. Then with carefulness he turned it all the way until the entire lid was cut. The lid fell into the corn.
Using a miniature spoon that he used only for eating corn he lifted the lid off.
But, in his excitement to eat the corn, he dropped the can opener down the kitchen sink and into the drain.
Oh no.
He needed to get the opener out, but how? His hands were way too big. He began to pace while making wild hand movement trying to think of a plan.
But he never got to that part for while he was pacing he knocked his can of corn over into the sink and half of it fell out. Ichigo was devastated.
"My corn!" he yelled out.
He grabbed the can and managed to stop the rest of the corn from falling out. He was out of plans and out of time.
"Hey Ichi-nii!"
"Karin! Ah-ha-ha-ha…when did you get home?"
"A minute ago. Hey is there any food?"
Karin went to find something to eat from the kitchen while Ichigo made his escape. And so, he ate the rest of his corn in his room, successfully forgetting about the can opener.
Or at least until Karin's strangled shout of anger. "ICHI-NII!! WHAT DID YOU DO WITH THE KITCHEN SINK?!?!?!"
Maybe I should switch to corn bread.
